It was looking at all the obscure names that prompted this.

Since football resumed after WWII - a total of 628 players have played league football for Burnley with 33 of them playing for us at some point in the 1940s. The number of debuts per decade since has shown some differences.

1940s - 33 players
1950s - 45 debuts
1960s - 43 debuts
1970s - 43 debuts
1980s - 99 debuts
1990s - 112 debuts
2000s - 103 debuts
2010s - 85 debuts
2020s - 65 debuts

There's a big upturn during our fall and rise through the leagues, as is to be expected, but I bet half of our 2020 debuts are Kompany signings.

It will be around half I would guess. But 65 in five years is a lot but reflects the way ALK are in terms of player recruitment.

The 2010s is incredibly low.

It was basically the same starting 11 every week for 7 years of it under Dyche.
