Some clubs use their local radio stations for this sort of stuff, I think we need to seriously consider it.

Each to their own but it's amateurish at best and doesn't even compare with the RL interview yesterday.

I don't disagree but think we need to remember it's possible that the interviewer sees these comments

But yesterdays was a completely different type of interview that was clearly done back at the training ground.

This one is just a quick video either in between or after training just giving a quick overview.

Abysmal is abit much isn’t it. Some of the questions the female interviewer asks new signings in their first interviews does come across amateur but I really think people finding a negative in this video just love something to complain about

Not sure that will be a consideration sadly.

People could choose just to not watch it, I guess that is a simplistic approach.

It’s a 6 minute video just asking a player a couple of questions, nothing abysmal about it at all. She’s doing her job. Give it a rest. Don’t bother posting the video if it’s so abysmal

Agree.

I’m all for improving what we produce in terms of media content but don’t think we should dig out to the individual presenters, who probably do a fantastic job across a number of roles in a small media team to ensure we get loads more content than we otherwise would.

For what it’s worth, that girl seems a very nice person and always smiles and lets on when she walks past me on match day.

Saying there’s nothing abysmal about.

Starting to think you are the troll, you can’t go a day without making some form of negative comment about the club or someone at the club. Can’t call out the owners today so you are calling out the media team.

Good. Then the interviewers can reflect upon the average nature of their work. Might seem harsh, but you need a thick skin in this sort of role. If I performed averagely in my job I’d be pulled up.

I’m sure she’ll be fine being surrounded by media professionals rather than listening to bored keyboard warriors.

Just for the record, I'm sure the young people we have doing the interviews are lovely people and are really good at parts of their job, I just don't think they are good enough to do this particular role for a Premier League club. We hold the players to a standard as they are club employees at Premier League level, I apply the same respect and expectation to all of the employees.

Well a bit of both to be honest. But, they work in a public facing role therefore should be accountable to the watching public.

I read this thread before watching it, and was expecting the worse, I don't know what some people's expectations are, or how high they are, but the interview was fine. Basically it was a getting to know you video for us fans, and in the space of 5 mins I've learnt plenty about him. Job done.
