The work that’s been done is wonderful.
Although I haven’t lived in Burnley for 48 years, I always enjoy going up Towneley whenever I come back. It holds so many happy memories for me. It was my dad’s favourite place and I remember taking him there about ten days before he died. Although he was failing and in pain, he was determined to go.
It’s a special place and we should treasure it and never take it for granted.

I had no idea that it was closed!

Fond memories of going in there as a child, so happy to see this re-open... I may just pop in as well!

Seen many stately homes and castles mainly in Scotland and Towneley Hall ranks up there, fantastic collections of art and ceramics along with the family history and the grounds make it a special place, great to know its opening again soon and looking forward to revisiting again.
