It’s so that the rest of the squad can watch the first team train.

It’s to go on the side of the 3G for spectators of the academy games.

I’d have preferred something a little bit less black and steely given its beautiful setting in the countryside but well done to the club for continuing to invest in the Academy facilities and training ground generally. Great to see.

Looks smart and fulfils it's purpose.

EDIT - I do wish it was 170+ seats though.

When we play games on the top pitches , U21s or friendlies for example, dont we generally use the other, grass pitch ?

Seats are wrong colour. Not purple enough

Roof should be sloped the other way to funnel the crowd noise onto the pitch.

We do.

Planning statement says this is exclusively for players and staff, but in reality I think it’s for parents watching the younger Academy games/training.

Could this also be a step forward to get the woman’s team back from Leyland?

We do. Not allowed to play u21 & u18 league games on an artificial pitch which is where this stand is going.

Why couldn’t they have extended this onto the cricket pitch?

Needs an extra tier on it
