Had to go for Blake v Man Utd, but a shout for Vydra's against Southampton (Admittedly ineligible as it wasn't a GOTS)

Was torn between Jayrods at OT and Robbie's against Man U on the Turf.
Eventually went for Jays.
But both brilliant in their own right.

Surprised that Hendrick’s at Goodson is not on the list. Without doubt the best ‘team goal’ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 4:03 pmWas torn between Jayrods at OT and Robbie's against Man U on the Turf.

Re: ARTICLE: Searching for Burnley’s best Premier League goal
It's not on the list because it was outvoted for the 2017/18 GOTS by Steven Defour's free kick at Man U. I'd have voted for that goal had it been.Culmclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 4:16 pmSurprised that Hendrick’s at Goodson is not on the list. Without doubt the best ‘team goal’

I loved Barnes' as West Ham in the 0-3 win. Tough to narrow down admittedly.

The Everton one is also mine

27 passes at Everton, has to be.
But as it's not on the list Robbie Blake v Man Utd 2009/10.

The one I thought of immediately, surprised it's not on the list, and would definitely have got my vote.Culmclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 4:16 pmSurprised that Hendrick’s at Goodson is not on the list. Without doubt the best ‘team goal’

As said, it can't be on the list which is just the goal of the season winners.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 5:25 pmThe one I thought of immediately, surprised it's not on the list, and would definitely have got my vote.

Re: ARTICLE: Searching for Burnley’s best Premier League goal
I understand that they were all voted goals of the season on here and that's probably the only sensible way to do it, but as mentioned above there's been some iconic goals which have missed the cut each season. Barnes away at West Ham was a tremendous strike and a particular favourite of mine is Barnes again with the last gasp winner against Palace at the Turf.
Had to go for Blake. It was our first and an absolutely amazing strike and utterly bonkers crowd reaction!

Outstanding goal from Barnes but I couldn’t think of any other way of limiting it without choosing them myself.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 6:10 pmI understand that they were all voted goals of the season on here and that's probably the only sensible way to do it, but as mentioned above there's been some iconic goals which have missed the cut each season. Re: ARTICLE: Searching for Burnley’s best Premier League goal
There’s an argument for all of them. I loved Hendricks goal vs Bournemouth.
And plenty of goals missing that could / definitely should be included.
But I’d have to go for Blake. To wait so long to appear on the big stage, to beat Man Utd at home under the lights with a goal like that was something special.
Kudos also to Beast for his contribution in making that goal the winner. It deserved it. (Much like his goal at Ewood did).

Barnes at West Brom would have been right up there. Incredible goal.

Blake is my choice. I think the Longside structure actually shook. What a moment.

Toss up between all three of the Manchester United goals for me, all fantastic goals.

Re: ARTICLE: Searching for Burnley’s best Premier League goal
Toss up between Defour's free kick vs Man Utd or Barnes vs West Brom. Bashley's 'hammy stretcher' wins by a whisker

Re: ARTICLE: Searching for Burnley’s best Premier League goal
Lowton vs Palace for me. Such a shame it wasn't in front of the fans.
Re: ARTICLE: Searching for Burnley’s best Premier League goal
I'm going to be controversial and say Hendrick v Evertons is a bit overrated. Good goal but people act as if it was a slick move all the way through. It wasn't really, there was a big looping cross into the box that wasn't connected with properly which wood managed to get enough on to keep the ball. The stuff before that big switch was just sideways passing infront of a team not pressing us, it was the Arfield pass onwards that was really good.
In answer to the original question, Defour vs United. But special mention to an underrated one in Arfield v Everton the last minute winner. The composure and technique on that one was impressive at such a late stage.

I would have voted for Defour against, was it Hull City? As it is I’m going for Lowton vs Palace.

I went for Jay at OT. Such a great strike. But would have gone for Hendrick at Goodison but for reasons stated above
Re: ARTICLE: Searching for Burnley’s best Premier League goal
I went for Jay. A lovely strike which started with a neat 1-2 with Wood.
What a night and performance that was.

Jay Rod at Yoooonited.
Tell you what's an underrated goal (and player) though - Stephen Ward's at Chelsea 2017/18 to make it 2-0 Burnley, in a 3-2 win — a fantastic start to our incredible 7th placed finish.

I am also going for Blake's against Man Utd.
If it had been on the list, I would have chosen Defour's against Hull City.
