This is what prisons would look like if they had outdoor swimming pools.

I remember being on a stag do a few years ago in Benidorm and we got a very early flight. Arrived at the hotel and we were pretty much the only guests there.

We dumped out bags and sat by the pool having a few beers as the parade of stag and hen do’s started to arrive.

A group of Blackburn lads showed up all wearing rovers gear. We were all Burnley lads so proceeded to sing no nay never and have some general banter.

The biggest rovers lad took off him shirt and dived head first into the shallow end of the pool. He ended up with more claret on him than us with his nose all over his face. They were good lads and we had a good laugh in a few bars later on in the night

I think that banner on the far right is the most nauseating thing I have seen for some time.... "Champagne Super Rovers"

Agreed above, doesn't look the nicest place tbh. Hope they change that water in the pool daily also.

Why can’t we have that? Largely because we’ve been a successful club for the last 15 years, which means our pre seasons are spent at premium pre season fitness centres etc….

Our time will come for bad training centres and trips away that are accessible for fans…… but until then, enjoy just being miles better than them.

Budget **** up in Benidorm watching their team? Never been but sure I could find the fun in that. Good luck to em - clearly not taking themselves too seriously. It'd certainly be worse if they'd put those flags up in a decent hotel..

Though selfishly I still wouldn't mind a game at Turners Cross / Tallaght "Stadium" every couple of years :D

Nowt wrong with Benidorm, most people who slag it off have never been and base their views on the tv series. If Burnley played anywhere near Benidorm I'd probably have a look over.

I've been there on a **** up. The old town was fine and so were some of the small bars in the new town that tend to keep the riffraff out by charging more, but I wasn't keen on the rest.

Fair enough if you want cheap and cheerful, but with that you've got a load of people who look like proper scrote-scruffs. Went in one bar and some of the tourists stunk so much that I doubt they had ever had a bath or shower - I'm not joking either. The local garbage collectors were better dressed.

I’ve been once on a lads holiday, I expected to hate it but I absolutely loved it.

It’s clean, the people were friendly and I didn’t see any trouble. And it’s dirt cheap.

Edit - I’m talking about Benidorm not Blackburn. That is a dump.

The games are being played at a sports facility in murcia called the pinatar arena football centre which is about 80 from Benidorm. I am currently visiting parents about a 15 minute drive from where the games are being played at thought about going to watch them against the local la liga side Elche on Friday with my lad. Was planning on going in our Burnley shirts and cheering on Elche.

Been once, strange place, the old town is at one end which is quite nice. The far end of the prom has lots of 4/5 star hotels and the bars and restaurants in that area are pretty much like any other Spanish tourist resort. Between these two is a huge, vibrant, in your face, cheap as chips, hot blackpool. At least it was like that when I visited ten years ago.

Levante beach is one of the nicest beaches you will find in Europe. Benidorm gets a lot of stick but it's not all full English breakfasts and cheap pints

Benidorm probs one of the most misjudged resorts there is . It’s hugely popular with Spaniards for starters , superb beaches , clean , loads of quality food etc . The “ Blackpool bit” is only really a midtown (new) strip . It’s generally an “ older” crowd than your ayia napa /Kavos hordes . Some cracking tribute bands too, never seen trouble there either .
Walking around Lake Como it isn’t though …

Watched the game as I was bored. Turned out to be a treat for the locals of Murcia. Ismael has got them playing a Klopp style pressing game and they are breaking with the pace of De Neve, Kargbo and Ohashi. Think they are going to surprise a few this season with a new approach.

Yuki Ohashi is looking clinical and like he means business. I don't know how they find them. Two excellent finishes from him tonight. Early call from me...Ohashi to win the Championship Golden Boot.
