85/8. 44 needed from 3 overs. We had a rally, but would be a miracle from here. Boro bowled well.

Twenty20 Semi-Final – Lowerhouse v Norden

Lowerhouse won the toss and chose to bat first in the semi-final clash against Norden. A strong batting performance saw House post 140 for 6 from their 20 overs. Jonny Whitehead top scored with a well-crafted 54, supported by professional Dan Salpietro with 27, Tom Walker with 26, and Ben Heap who added 24.

In reply, House were clinical with the ball and in the field, dismissing Norden for just 63 in 15.3 overs. Shaukat Ali was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 4 wickets for just 7 runs in 3.2 overs.

T20 Final – Lowerhouse v Littleborough

In the final, Littleborough won the toss and chose to bat first. They reached 128 for 8 from their 20 overs, with Toxy Hussain taking 2 for 21 from his full allocation and four Littleborough batters run out thanks to sharp fielding from the House.

Lowerhouse’s chase got off to a nightmare start, collapsing to 25 for 5 after 8 overs with the top order back in the pavilion. Tom Walker dug in and, alongside Paddy Martin, led a spirited fightback. At 60 for 7, the target looked daunting, but the pair kept hopes alive. When Tom was bowled for 30, House needed 45 from the final 20 balls with just two wickets in hand. Paddy followed shortly after for 29, and the innings closed at 99 for 9, bringing a valiant run to an end and confirming Lowerhouse as runners-up.

Credit to Littleborough for a deserved win and congratulations to all involved on a great T20 finals day – a brilliant showcase for the league and a reward for the tireless efforts of volunteers.

Third XI – v Haslingden (Home)

The Third Eleven recorded another solid win at home to Haslingden. Batting first, Lowerhouse reached 187 for 7 from their 40 overs, with Aden Aurangzeb leading the way with an impressive 64. In reply, Haslingden came up short, finishing on 175 for 7. James McGregor and Ky-Mani Cain were instrumental in the defence, each picking up three wickets to see House over the line.

Fourth XI – v Haslingden

The Fourth Eleven narrowly lost out in their encounter with Haslingden. Lowerhouse bowled the visitors out for 182, but despite a battling reply, fell just short at 167 all out. Captain Dave Krupinski led from the front with a top score of 49 in a spirited effort.

We all laugh about the same 3-4 that come out with the same stupid comments, yet none of them post after their side get beat which is most weeks, whilst we always do.

Middleton have gone from 61/0 to 67/4. Jo Hawke doing the damage.
Tom Walker off the field after the ball bounced up and hit him in the face. Ice pack applied and back to the dressing room. Eliza Cottam on as sub fielder...3 Cottams now on the field
