Reports that we are interested in resigning him
Surely it's a no brainer as we never received payment in the initial transfer and should be a free signing

They want 18m euros, so not a free signing

No thanks. Move on. Pretty sure there will be better players out there especially for 18m euros.

WE need to put pressure on the authorities in Brazil to ensure we get paid, or measures be placed on them if they don't

Not sure why we'd even enter business with them again if they've not paid up yet. If anything they should give him back and we call it quits. The cheek of them to ask for more. (if true, could be nothing in it).

He wasn't good enough for this level last time, so why would we want him back?

I loved Vitinho when he was here for his effort and no shortage of skill, but he isn’t an €18m player.

It’s like we are getting the band back together……. Nathan Tella anyone? 😂

We go to FIFA not the authorities in Brazil

Surely this is just utter nonsense.

Maybe we will get him for £18m and just not send the money?

Logically, by default he should become our player again
They have breached the terms of the contract
Otherwise teams could "buy" anyone they wanted, sign them, win everything, and still retain the player, even if they had no intention of actually paying for them

Hopefully this is just us offering them a way out and they've been really dumb and said they value him at €18m and now we've even more ammo for getting money out of them via FIFA.

Yes OK but you get my point

Enjoyed him while he was here.

Like others have said, he always gave everything. He wasn't one that I'd target for criticism but he isn't the answer to our current needs.

Can only imagine it's agent/player talk or it's linked to their inability to cough up for the bill.

He was an absolutely abysmal full back for us defensively and just about passable on the wing but with crap numbers.

Safe to say I hope there's no truth to this one
