Quite like that we have several "captain" types who even without the title, no doubt help keep things ticking over. Barnes, Worrall, etc

Congrats JC - right man for the job. Interested to see who his vice-captain will be who deputises for him when absent. Possibly Walker/Roberts?

Walker captained the side at Huddersfield last week but Roberts was out

Well deserved and rightly so as he's been a good servant to the Clarets...

Yeah I saw that, so assumed maybe Walker would be next in line. Especially if Roberts and Barnes are featuring less.

I'm amazed that anyone might suggest Roberts as a possible captain!!

I think that kills off the debate about a new DM

How does it, when we're (extremely) likely to play with two?

He's the player who's been at the club the longest, certainly has some seniority even if he is "Jack the lad".

Cullen was always the man for the job. Must be a managers dream in terms of professionalism and giving his all .

Roberts is not captain material regardless of how long he’s been at the club. A good team member yes but a million miles away from captain material.

Maybe, but I would have thought the other CM would be Laurent, Hannibal or even Ramsay if fit.

Not likely to feature much this season though, you'd hope anyway.

There have been historic occurrences of team captain and club captain around football. With Josh being announced as squad captain does this leave a vacancy for club captain?
I’ll nominate Ashley Barnes. Long association with club, seniority in both age and experience, usually at the heart of fun & games and younger players could turn to him for advice or problems.
