Leicester v Owls

Just been conversing with my Wednesday supporting cousin. She has this to say
It's a bit of a nightmare at the moment but we just get on with it! I got my season ticket a couple of days ago for the kop. The people on the north stand still haven't heard what is happening to them - about 9000 of them! All our ticket allocation at Leicester has been snapped up (over 3300!) and they're planning a demonstration. Leicester have allowed our fans to take a huge flag onto the away end and fans plan to wait 5 minutes after kick off before taking their seats so that Sky will broadcast an empty away end to start with and then fill up! Such a shame that Morecambe are suffering as well, Bury have been amazing and invited Morecambe fans to their ground to watch them and even to wear their own colours.
A lot of speculation at the moment about John Textor still being interested but not sure he's the solution. Chansiri still being a complete arse about selling ground and training ground - wish he'd just f**k off

All the best George for this season, it's a pity (in a way) that we won't be playing you this season - although goodness knows who with. Barry Bannan is staying so every cloud eh?!

I didn't even know that the game would definitely be taking place tbh, such has been the speculation surrounding Wednesday and their troubles.
Glad it is, though.

"John Textor is still interested"!!!! "Not sure he's the solution!" Oh dear...... I'm pretty certain he isn't!

Find it strange that a club like Wednesday, in big financial problems, sticks its neck out and gets 3,300 tickets, which sell instantly
By contrast, we play Spurs at a ground twice the capacity of Leicester, on our first return to the PL having gained 100 points/two defeats/ record clean sheets etc etc. Its the first game of the season and our club takes just 2000 tickets, leaving a significant number of loyal supporters unable to attend to add support for our beloved team

Wednesday owner is an unusual character, shall we say.
I feel for the fans, especially as I live only about three miles from the ground.

I would think it has a lot to do with logistics and pricing. Sheffield is a lot closer to Leicester than Burnley is to North London.

Unless supporting a club is in your blood, you can't understand what it means to people. To us.
I have often thought in recent years is it sane supporting a club. Is it sane feeling so angry after certain defeats, so low when so many far, far more important things are going on in life. I sometimes wish I hadn't been born to a supporter of a football club - it happened to be Burnley but it matters little - when I let it get me down. But then you think of the good times, the victories against clubs that are far more affluent than us.
It's a crazy thing, really. Something you can't rationally defend. But it's in you or it isn't.
