Looking forward to tonight's game
And even tomorrow's games have no clear cut winners in any match as seen in bookies odds
Have bet on Norwich to be promoted - no other basis than transfer activity

Had 2 bets
Ipswich to win the league, Coventry top 6 finish and Oxford relegated @ 25/1
Ipswich & Southampton to finish top 2 in any order 15/2

I am hoping the fairy tale explodes, also Phil Parkinson is massively unlikeable

For me it's the Jay Rod and Fletcher effect, makes me want them to do well.

As much as it pains me to say so, because it means a tough 9 months for me in my locals, but I can't see anything other than The Tractor Girls winning the league. I think that Coventry and Birmingham will give it a good go, and it wouldn't surprise me to see one or both of those in the top three.

Bookies seem to have it in this order of favourite:
1. Ipswich
2. Southampton
3. Brum
4. Sheffield U
5. Leicester
6. Cov

Great bets!
Can’t see far past those as the top 2. Probably Ipswich will win iit.
Play-offs I can see Coventry, Boro, Birmingham and maybe dark horses Derby.
Wrexham might struggle although they’ve started to add a couple of quality signings, most of their squad isn’t quite at the level required.

Looks a reasonable strength Champ this year , though I think Wrexham and their owners may have a harsh meeting with reality in what can be an incredibly tough league when coming up like they have .
I’m presuming Ipswich will be strong and surely Soton can’t be far off . As for the rest I’d imagine the usual relentless slog with the odd dark horse emerging .

I honestly cannot see Southampton making top 6. They’re taking a massive gamble with their manager.

Ipswich, Saints and Leicester top 3. Squads on a different level to the rest. Leicester could be top 2 if they don’t get points deduction. Fancy Ipswich for the title.
Sheff Weds, Preston and Oxford to go down.

At the other side of the spectrum the faves for the drop are Sheff Weds, Oxford and Hull.
Rovers priced at 11/2 if you wish to fill your boots

Fletcher was released, JayRod got lots of abuse from their fans last season. Parkinson fetched Charlton here in Coyle's promotion, they took early lead and wasted time the whole 90 and our sub Thommo came on and scored the winner in added time Parkinson looked fit to explode

Derby will be up there. Blades without Wilder will struggle to and Saints will be top half.
Ipswich won't be far off top 6 as will Coventry.

Reims (2022-24)
Still became the youngest manager in Europe’s top 5 leagues when he took over the Reins at Reims taking them on a 19 match unbeaten streak.
Lens (2024-25)
Still managed them for a season achieving a 44% Win Rate across all competitions.
To borrow a much used phrase from this Message Board when discussing our transfer business “Still young with bags of potential”.

Ipswich will be very strong - have made good signings and importantly kept their manager
Tonight's game will be interesting to see how Birmingham handle the step-up they look to have play-off potential
Also think Derby will be in the mix. Eustace got them organised and hard to beat and they've added some impressive fire power over the summer

I’d like to see Wrexham do well although I doubt they’ll contend for playoffs this coming season. Hopefully the next two seasons will see them consolidate as a Championship club, after that push on for playoffs or automatic promotion. The ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ series was brilliant IMHO. Personally I think the Yank and Canuck have done a brilliant job promoting both the town and football club on a world stage without flaunting it. The income base they have created is remarkable, comparable to upper end Championship clubs. They’ve recently added the Allyn family of WelchAllyn, the medical device company, as investors. Wrexham are not going away!

They’re tinpot, always have been and always will be and are owned by a pair of American clowns.
They remind me of Dave Whelan’s Wigan in a way but at least he had an affiliation with the town.

The Championship is really competitive & interesting.
Promotion for me this season is Ipswich ( good manager) Coventry (getting better each season) & Sheff Utd ( if they don't lose players at the last moment)
I think Southampton & Leicester will be competitive but ultimately not make it.

Definitely a very open division. Think we might be pining for it before too long!! I have a feeling Derby will do better than expected. Really rate Eustace as a manager and even more after he walked out on that lot!! If Ipswich don't go up they will have under performed. Just watching that first half hits home what an achievement last season was. 2 very competitive teams, big physical units. Not easy at all.

I was delighted he left Rovers, I think he's a really good manager. Reminds me of Dyche in a way, very pragmatic and difficult to play against. His teams work hard for him and in the right areas they play football. With a bit of backing I think he'll get teams promoted or thereabouts.
