Sounds like a good deal for us and more like it, compared to the headline numbers ‘Fab’ was making it out to be.

Excited to see him play for us! Fingers crossed for a sustained period of fitness.

Is that what they are reporting? That’s a lot less than was being suggested.

Can’t praise our club enough with how they have recruited during this window
Personally I am surprised we got both these two Chelsea lads this week before other clubs showed interest.Same applies to Walker
I am fed up of hearing we are after a certain player then reading Leeds Sunderland and other clubs are after them too

These videos are getting worse.

Players will start to turn us down at the thought of having to appear in them now !!!!

From what I heard the delay in Borja signing was some very heated discussions about appearing in the video and we had to up his wage demands to get him to say “Up the Clarets”

Really pleased with our transfer approach, this window.

A mixture of youth and experience, some potentially exciting prospects and targeting key areas.

I’ve lost count of the number of previous windows when, despite decent signings, there has always looked to be a glaring void in one area of the pitch or other (usually, but not always, midfield).

This time, it looks so much better.

Now, if we can clear out some of those less likely to challenge for a squad place and perhaps, being greedy, add a couple of decent loans, we’ve a chance.

Credit where it’s due, I’m chuffed with our business.

Happy with this. Time will tell whether it serves us well, but I'm happy we've gone for more known quantities this year and much less gambles with players who haven't played at this level or indeed this country. We don't look a million miles from being able to compete.

I reckon this week's signings of Broja, Les, and Dubravka could all prove to be really good additions. If Broja can stay injury free he should be fully motivated to kick-start his career and begin hitting the back of the net for us. Well done BFC on these additions.

I've been thinking the same. I think if we put our first 11 out now, there's no weak links. We needed a keeper, central midfielder and forward and we've got them.

We were talking at Stoke last Saturday and generally agreed that we needed an experienced goalkeeper, a strong midfielder and a striker.

If nothing else happens in this window I think it’s been a good one.

Imagine the focus now will be more on shipping players out. Quite a few who probably won't kick a ball if they stay.

Big Les and Broja are both 6ft 3in and are quick so that's encouraging.

I personally disagree, some of them have been great- I remember the Wout/TRex one which was actually quite funny, the ones that somehow relate to the signings are really well done imo.

Some of the others no doubt appeal to the masses (this is a well known scene from a legendary film) but aren't great imo.

Absolutely no complaints about the recruitment this time around. We’ve gone for athletic players with experience of the league and that’s exactly what went badly wrong last time.

If we do get anybody else now, possibly making use of the loan market, it will be a bonus on top of a strong looking squad already.

Also pleased that we have spent our money relatively early in the window. Maximises our chances of getting the team to gel before we're behind the 8 ball. May be an opportunity to do some loan business later in the window when we've cleared out some of the fringe players.

IF the 10 +5 fee is accurate then it could be an absolute master stroke. For balance, Birmingham paid Fulham 15 + 5 for Jay Stansfield !

It's looking good now. Far more pragmatic this time, mixed with some speculation.

I guess the squad and spending is now complete. However, I think we are short on an attacking cm, unless Scott sees that in Ramsey and he is fit enough.
.
My other concern is right side cb in a 4 given all 5 of the contenders all have poor fitness records and none are aerially dominant, other than maybe Ekdal. I'd move on Worrall if we could get the right man in.

He scored 19 goals for Birmingham in the third tier, 9 of which were penalties. Not impressive at all considering the transfer fee. Can't fault his last name though.

The more professional voice that has been doing the interviews is a guy called Ian Taylor. I found this podcast on YouTube with Bullard and Fenners - https://youtu.be/ON26AKpw0qk?si=yRkIWv4z1kOZ8KaF

Looks to have a lot of football experience and on his LinkedIn looks to be freelance with us.

It's good that we have all the important business done before the season starts.Very different to last seasons chaos.SP can now work on the squad that he wants, nobody up and leaving.
He can let others within the club to trim the squad and offload the unwanted players

Cant see anymore coming in for the 25man squad unless Humphries is not going to be fit soon. I make it at the moment excluding Humphries a squad of 23 over 21 on 1/1/25, excluding Amdouni and Beyer as also long term injuries and selling or loaning out Green, Sonne, Sambo, Delcroix, Benson, Churlinov and Obofami

I am really looking forward to this season having made the signings we have so far. And as I posted above we have two very good players under 21 with premier league experience which is an added bonus for the squad of 25 if we name 25.

Really? I can’t see anything on his cv to suggest he’s worth any more. £10m looks a reasonable punt, with the add-ons only coming through if it works out. Wouldn’t want to pay anymore up front

We have made some excellent signings this window. The difference must be Scott Parker.
I genuinely believe we have more than a fighting chance to stay up.
I would imagine that S Parker is a lot happier at Burnley than he was at his previous clubs.

On paper, it's looking like a decent window.
Get a few out, & it'll look a bit more like, after the whirling transfer doors of the recent times.
