Not getting too excited by that team but feels clear to me now that Ekdal starts against Spurs and we may even be going with a back five.

Few probably still being managed fitness wise. Can’t imagine the three signed this week are fit enough to start this one, but perhaps played behind closed doors. Roberts had a knock, so Sonne starts.

Parker and Burnley Express commented on it yeah. Matt Scrafton reported that Laurent’s red card meant a suspension for the morning match, but could play v Lazio.

Can only assume there has been another game behind closed doors again.
The other factor is that we don't want to show our cards to Spurs who will still be guessing our formation/team as you can guarantee they will be scouting.

Very disappointing squad. Not sure whether to stay in the pub
I understand leaving out the 3 recent signings, but missing Ramsey, Flemming and Tuanzebe through assumed injury is not good at all.

Think formation wise that's how we're gonna set up. Doesn't look too bad to me. Sonne seems to better going forward than defending as a traditional RB. Plus, Walker should be able to read it down that side and talk to him when we defend.

I'm.not sure that many of us have had the opportunity to see much of Sonne therefore it will be interesting to see how he performs against some fairly testing opposition

Well, it's practice for the season ahead, I suppose. Some posters need friendlies to ahead of a long season.

It might have been useful for the new keeper to have played to build up some understanding with the defence.

What the hell is Phil Bird on about with the kits... My god, he's totally lost it. He thinks we're in the light blue away kit, but that's Lazio.
