Unrest at Deadwood

Dumped out of the Carabao last night by Bradford, fans betting on how long Ismael lasts as manager..."...his average length of stay at his last few clubs is around 30 games and our lot give him a three and a half year deal..."
(One of many disparaging comments on their forum last night).
And now their influential midfielder and club captain
Lewis Travis has officially said he wants a move to Derby to link up with former manager Eustace again.
(Derby have offered £1.5 mil apparently, but have been knocked back, expected to up that offer now.)
Not getting too happy about this situation, since we might be up against it ourselves soon, but it's quite entertaining

It's been heartwarming seeing other fans rally round Morecambe, and then a lovely touch with Leicester fans supporting the Sheff Wednesday fans in their protest. It's what football is all about, great to see that brotherhood.
However, as far as our neighbours are concerned, the moment the Venkys pull the plug, I'll be down with a big padlock for the gates that evening and a bulldozer first thing the next morning to make sure the job's done right.

With a rather drastic drop over the last week - what’s going on with the court case do we know? Is the market pricing in a negative outcome for them?
Saw in their quarterly results they have operated on a margin of less than 2%. Doesn’t leave you much wiggle room that.

The Hearing has been put back again, to November.

They don’t like hearing it, but the bar stewards ought to be grateful to the Venkys that they’ve even got a football club. Years and years of financial recklessness which dates back to the early nineties should really have finished them off years ago, but the Venkys continue to prop them up year on year. I don’t know why they bother for all the thanks they get off the fans.
They’ve employed a manager who got Barnsley to the play off semis in 2021, and they want him out! Incredible! Who on earth could then possibly attract with a better CV than that?

Real chaos over the road and it seems as though it is being caused by one man. Suhail Pasha. If anybody is a hero for the Clarets enjoying watching this circus, it's him. He has apparently told Venky's there's no need to spend as there's no guarantee of success. Instead, he's set on cutting costs and is happy to develop players to sell on. Promotion is not on his agenda, which is why JDT, Broughton and Eustace all left. They were ambitious and wanted to go up. They got no backing. Now the same cycle is repeating itself with Ismael.
Pasha had the nerve to tell Rovers fans at a recent fans forum meeting that, spending more on transfers and wages does not guarantee a jump in League position. The same guy also said he didn't think Adam Wharton was 'that good' when breaking through. This was part of a pathetic attempt to defend selling Wharton to Palace at the first opportunity. That's what they are dealing with. He should not be running that club.
If the FA was worth it's salt, this is where it would be stepping in. If the Government had any care for British sporting institutions, this is where it would be stepping in. If they can seize Chelsea off Roman's hands, they can take bastards off Venky's and Pasha's hands. I'm a sporting man and want a fair fight with them. This situation is ridiculous, even though we strongly dislike them.
Last night was embarrassing. That's Bradford's first win at Ewood in 104 years. Just like the Glazers/INEOS at United, Venky's continue to break records for all the wrong reasons and plummet the club even further.
They have let most of their experienced players leave and have replaced them with cheap, foreign unknowns. None of them good enough. They are missing Britain, Batth, Dolan and Weimann. Their players look devoid of belief right now. Their fans genuinely see relegation coming this season. Ismael looks angry. It's chaos. Something needs to change. You can't have 15 years of this **** going on, even if it is bastards on the end of it.
Anyway, I'm so glad the Prem is back this weekend. As long as we keep Kudus and Johnson quiet, we've got a great chance. Bring it on.

Basically the biggest problem for them has been caused by their great man Walker.
He spoiled them, got them into watching football and used to having a sugar daddy. Now a very large amount of their fans have no idea how to conduct themselves due to having owners not giving them millions to spend each season.
Football is unfair now they are being asked to self fund a little, hence talk of boycotts every season while being in a division they were in prior to being funded by Walker. They still think they are a relevant Premier League club rather than accepting they are a mid table Championship side.
They might have learnt from all this that if you want someone to keep giving you money racially abusing them isn't the best approach no matter how funny they found it to be.

They all seemed to want Steve Waggott out as CEO and now he has gone, there are people on the Telegraph begging for him back. One even said he was the glue that held the ship together.
I was reading the article about your (sorry their) captain Lewis Travis asking to leave to head to Derby. That's gotta smart..... they take your manager and then come back for the captain. That is funny.

When the Walker Trust said they weren't going to fund Rovers the way Jack Walker had the Shadsworth massive had two choices.
Firstly (and to be honest, less likely) they could have accepted the new financial reality and settled back into their pre-sugar daddy position of doing not-very-much in the old Division Two. Secondly they could whine like hell and demand that if the Walker Trust weren't going to spend millions in keeping them *cough* where they belonged, they should sell up to someone else who would.
They get ever so annoyed though, when you ask them how Option 2 is working out for them...

The idea that Blackburn's death-by-a-thousand-self-inflicted-cuts is in any way comparable to the Chelsea scenario is almost as funny as the idea of Blackburn as a British sporting institution.
I mean, some of their more deluded fans (most notably you, Hutchy) should absolutely be in some kind of institution, but come off it.

The government removed Roman from Chelsea because his country of birth randomly invaded their next door neighbour and started killing people. It's absolutely laughable to suggest the government or the League should intervene when it has absolutely no need or desire to remove the Venkys from Blackburn, especially as they're actually very good owners who annually throw a fortune away keeping the club treading water and not drowning! If you want to see what bad owners are really like take a look at Sheffield Wednesday and Morecambe (amongst others) and actually think yourselves very, very lucky.

It would be better if he came clean about his allegiance, and then posted. I think the more fair minded on here would give him a hearing, mixed in with some inevitable abuse ... there are two Clarets who post on BRFCS, who contribute regularly, and are fairly tolerated by the majority of posters ...

I am beginning to quite like Valerian as 1)he is refreshingly honest and 2) he appears to be not very good at football management.
In a couple of his interviews he spilt the beans that his captain and "best player" Travis wants to leave the club and go to Derby. The only thing that's holding up the move is Derby offering the £3m Roverrs think is a fair price for a Championship journeyman with one year on his contract.
Furthermore Hyam, Hedges and Trondstad are all in the same boat and Valerian kindly explained that under the circumstances the club can't afford to turn down any reasonable offers. If only more managers were so candid. All four players might not be all that good individually but they were the backbone in terms of appearances in last season's campaign which tbf only fell two points short of Bristol.
Expect Rovers to be crippled if all four go, but sadly probably not enough to get relegated as somehow they seem to find away to cling on inspite of all adversity and Val did get a tune out of them towards the end of last season.
Birmingham at home on Saturday, nice one to open ghe season at Ewood with circa thousands of yamyams in the away end.

It's the perfect storm we've been waiting for. Venkeys have their legal dealings in India to cope with which keeps getting delayed and means they don't appear to have the funds available now to pump into Rovers because of this
Players leaving the club in numbers either for free or nominal fees leaving them short on playing staff
The chap on the Radio Blackburn Special a few months ago from the club who's name escapes me stating Rovers had a transfer budget of 4 million quid ( good luck with that in the championship) so are unable to adequately replace the players they're losing
They'll be there or thereabouts the relegation zone this season!
GOOD INNIT

Just imagine the Shadsworth knuckle draggers, foaming and frothing at the mouth, if they went down. Oh, please bring it on, - it would be even more pleasing IF it happened and we stayed up. They wouldn’t even get their 2 cup finals then.

Yer i think Hutchy should come clean also .
I think he is a good poster and would love to hear more about Rovers and where they are or heading from him .
It's good to see both sides of the coin .

I like him,I like how you can almost hear the tears dripping onto the screen as he types.

It would be better if he came clean about his allegiance, and then posted. I think the more fair minded on here would give him a hearing, mixed in with some inevitable abuse ... there are two Clarets who post on BRFCS, who contribute regularly, and are fairly tolerated by the majority of posters ...
I agree, but he is funny in his current guise.
"That lot over the road."
He's a card.

Whoever Hutchy is, he can write correctly and he doesn't insult people. Got to give him that.
FWIW from the little I've seen of him, I thought Hedges is not too shabby and seems committed to their cause. That I do not like their cause doesn't mean I can't respect him for that.
