Last “ good” song for a player ??

I know in the days of “1 season” type players it’s hard to build a real rapport with fans , but how long since a player actually had a decent song ? Perhaps Vitiniho ? Not totally original but easy song , factual and a “naughty “word to boot .
A good song imo needs to have a bit of edge/humour/well placed expletive /factual etc . Alas it looks like a season of tits fanny and clarets again ….

I think it should be immediately be dismissed as being a good song, if it's just a rip off of a song another set of fans did for their player.

Ingy's/Vokey's
Only had to learn 4 syllables which made it apt for our fanbase

Genuine question.. when was the last player song we had that wasn't a rip off? I'd hope the rarely heard 'Ben Mee' chant was original.

That’s a fair point , but almost all “ tunes” are ripped off in some way . I think if you can re-master something that fits in with your own club it’s ok . Rather than say some horrific “ ole ole” type copy and paste job

Was that ever actually sang ? Probs a bit too much pitch variation for the CFS tbf .

The bear necessities that was suggested on here but somehow never made it to the stadium is the best ive heard for a while by a long distance:
It's the Beyer necessities, the simple Beyer necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
It's those Beyer necessities it's Scotty Parkers recipes
That bring the Beyer necessities to life!

I quite like the Hannibal one. But definetely going back a long way to find anything original. The Ben Mee one that actually got sung on games was a shocker.

Thats either because the subject of the song hasn’t made it into the stadium himself in a long while or because each line with his name in it doesn’t scan as it has too many syllables

The Spandau Bellet one about Michael Duff was somewhat bizarre, though memorable.

He seems to like it but it’s another rip off that has been doing the rounds in League 1 and 2.
The Wonderwall was fed to us on here and then by the club for his reveal but never got going in the stands. Again, it’s not an original but I think I’d only heard Leicester sing it for Dewsbury Hall prior.

The Oasis classic Wonderwall would, as was at the time of his signing suggested by some on here be brilliant for Hanibal I think. The club even used it in his announcement video.
Getting it started would be a challenge.
Not sure you could start from the first line of the first verse just to add in, YOU'RE MY HANNIBAL in the chorus.
