Good to see some outward movement, hope it’s the start of many. Can see Tresor going out on loan at some point too.

A good loan, hopefully he'll get plenty of game time, which wasn't about to happen here.
Whether he makes it or not, he's a better chance playing regular.

Would be better to get a few gone permanently. The chances of this lad ever playing for us are slim to none.

It’s good that he’s been fixed up with a club.
Even though he signed last summer he wasn’t Parker’s man, having agreed pre contract in the January whilst VK was here.
Not saying he would have played under VK but it must have been difficult for him

I agree with the sentiment but it’s hard to sell a lad on a 4 year contract on a decent wedge. If Dutch / Belgian football is his level very few of those clubs could afford him and why should he take a pay cut??? We gave him the contract.

I do sometimes wonder why we buy some of these players in the first place.

If we make a profit on the majority- why not?dermotdermot wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 5:43 pmI do sometimes wonder why we buy some of these players in the first place.

Banal was the most pointless one of the lot. Going into the final run of the promotion chase, he was never going to contribute. Utterly pointlessdermotdermot wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 5:43 pmI do sometimes wonder why we buy some of these players in the first place.

The idea with Sambo how will be to get him playing regularly this season and hopefully someone is impressed by him , leading to them buying him . Thus the club make some money . Hopefully.

One young lad is going to be disappointed. Don’t see many claret fans in Malvern but saw 2 youngsters in brand new Burnley shirts today, one bearing the name Walker, the other Sambo! Parents won’t be pleased if they have to splash out on a replacement.

I think he was a player they foresaw a value uptick from. One of those, "If it works out great, and if it doesn't we can get back more than we paid." sort of deals.

Some of our transfer dealings have been awful. Dishing out 4 year contracts to the likes of Sambo and Churlinov. Hopefully lessons have been learnt.CharlieinNewMexico wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 5:31 pmI agree with the sentiment but it’s hard to sell a lad on a 4 year contract on a decent wedge. Re: ARTICLE: Sambo returns to the Netherlands with Sparta
Most of our signings recently have delivered excellent profits, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we do the same with Churlinov overall after loan fees & whatever we sell him for.
Sambo was a free from memory. Loan fee now, wages paid, then a decent fee at the end assuming he does well on loan(s). That’s exactly what they want, I think.
Adewumi another. Low fee, two loan fees to date and then presumably the an option to buy that would represent a profit.
In my opinion, the intent behind the MCO model is to expand this approach, so I’ll be surprised if they rein it in.

I say fair play to the club for getting the lad out on loan. We can't just dump him. As Charlie says, he's under contract.CharlieinNewMexico wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 5:31 pmI agree with the sentiment but it’s hard to sell a lad on a 4 year contract on a decent wedge. I might be totally wrong but I think SP gives everybody a fair chance. If he thought he couldn't cut it last season he's not going to do it this.
We've got no idea re. who's paying what on his wages but he needs to be playing somewhere.
