Ticket Sales - Age Restrictions
With the changes to how tickets can be purchased this season i.e. only the applicable age ticket type can be purchased with a particular clarets number, do we think this is going to affect away attendances this season?
I know a lot of people in previous seasons (me included to bring a friend on certain away games with me) will have used an older relative's clarets number to purchase an adult ticket for example. This is now not possible.
Do we know if this is this a club decision or driven by the premier league? The reasons for it are most likely security driven, as it will be ensure the clubs have a better idea of exactly who they are letting into the ground.

Apart from the odd game like Everton i don't think anybody will struggle getting away tickets this season. And yeah this new rule has made things a bit awkward for my group.

Re: Ticket Sales - Age Restrictions
I think I'll end up chancing a few getting to general sale so I can bring my mate. My dad whose ticket I sometimes use for my mate is usually up for most games but he doesn't like the long trips as much anymore and it's not as much fun on your own!

It must have been very late in the season, as I purchased Coventry tickets (March) in the same manner with no issues.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 5:36 pmThey started doing it last season after the new bloke arrived to run ticketing

Very late, I purchased an adult ticket with my over 65 clarets number for QPR away.ClaretSam92 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 5:41 pmIt must have been very late in the season, as I purchased Coventry tickets (March) in the same manner with no issues.

Not too sure about that. Spurs away went very quickly and United went before 900 points I think. Either way neither made it to general ST sales.

Re: Ticket Sales - Age Restrictions
Not sure what happened but the first time we had this was for Sheffield Wednesday in October last season. If it was relaxed for some games, I don't know but they definitely introduced it for that game and it was also definitely in place for Sheffield United on Boxing Day.ClaretSam92 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 5:41 pmIt must have been very late in the season, as I purchased Coventry tickets (March) in the same manner with no issues.

Re: Ticket Sales - Age Restrictions
Sorry, a bit off topic I know but didn't want to start a new thread, but, how how do I download a digital ticket for Saturday? When I go to the 'Manage Tickets' section there are three options and none are to download a ticket. Does the club need to do something to allow access?

Mine appeared in the wallet without me doing anything, have a check thereburnleybonzo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 7:46 pmSorry, a bit off topic I know but didn't want to start a new thread, but, how how do I download a digital ticket for Saturday? Re: Ticket Sales - Age Restrictions
If you are referring to downloading a digital ticket from your season ticket, I don't believe there is an option at the moment. I have just two options - to forward to a friend or sell on ticket exchangeburnleybonzo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 7:46 pmSorry, a bit off topic I know but didn't want to start a new thread, but, how how do I download a digital ticket for Saturday? Yes, the season ticket option to download a digital ticket for one game only
Re: Ticket Sales - Age Restrictions
Like I said above my season ticket for Sunderland and Liverpool are in the wallet in the app, all ready, without doing anything as I use the card

Not in my wallet unfortunately. Are we hoping that the ticket office activate another option for download, ie Download ticket before Saturday?

Re: Ticket Sales - Age Restrictions
Ive just been on to the Burnley fc app on my phone and in the ticket section it shows the Sunderland and Liverpool in the ticket wallet with a note saying QR code to be activated soon. Id looked in my Iphone wallet first and nothing there and on my laptop just shows I can sell or send to a friend.
Hope this helps

It shows in the app, not on the ticket website

Re: Ticket Sales - Age Restrictions
In making getting away tickets fairer for all there is some sense in a ticket can be used for a relevant age category it is bought against.

Re: Ticket Sales - Age Restrictions
It will, you can use either, it's only if you move the digital one that the card won't work. So if you downloaded to say Google wallet only that would work, but as long as it's only in the apps wallet it's fineBleedingClaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 8:25 amWell that doesn’t make sense because if they’re downloaded to your phone wallet then your card won’t work!
