Good afternoon,
A very quick update:
Burnley Football Club Independent Supporters Association met with Burnley Football Club on August 5th at Turf Moor.
The meeting was hosted by Russell Ball and BFC ISA are grateful to him for hosting us and we have sent on a personal of thanks.
Our members were informed following the meeting and they received a precis of the conversation that took place. This was also offered to the club for the purposes of transparency.
We really hope that this is the start of a positive relationship between BFC ISA and the Club.
Below is a copy of our letter to Russell Ball, in which we introduced ourselves.
As always, a reminder that if you want to join BFC ISA, it’s just £5 for the next 12 months and you can do so here: membermojo.co.uk/burnleyfcisa
Or through our website: burnleyfcisa.com
Thank you, everyone.

I hope the meeting on 5 August was the first of many meetings with the club for BFCISA. We are all aware of the numerous issues that we face including ticketing, seat moves, access issues etc, and hopefully BFCISA can represent us all. Is it just that as a Society we are more aware of these issues and more prone to seeking answers or are our current major shareholders so out of tune and out of step with the ordinary fan that they dont want to engage in case it derails their extraordinary plans?

I hope you have maximum capacity for that inbox because I feel you might be inundated with issues after this Saturdays game

That’s what the ISA should be there for. Might have to employ a full time email admin.

I'm sure you know all this but you aren't dealing with Bob the Butcher from Burnley - local boy done - good but a different beast entirely. I would focus on building relationships with the media and local democracy as well as the club.
You will get swamped with minutiae from fans but if you want to maintain the clubs heritage and protect it going forward you can't be a prism for 'the seats being too hard', 'the toilet paper being too soft' etc. We all know that as far as the fans are concerned the board is brilliant when we are winning but they will be sobbing into their Bovrils and ripping up their season tickets when not.
The club will know about the day to day stuff...! You have to be different because the club isn't interested in what you have to say because you have nothing of interest to say to them. They are up in the clouds buying football clubs in Barcelona.
You have to work out the pressure points and that won't just through having meetings. Best of luck...!

I've asked the question - see no reason why they can't be once the members have had the opportunity to see them.

It’s worth the guys from the ISA knowing that the information from the meeting with the club have done the rounds on WhatsApp, I was sent it but not my place to post it on here

Thanks - it's right that they are sent to members but also there can't be any control over them once they've gone out. I've asked the question in any case of them being placed on the website in a timely fashion.

Good point Kevwando. I do know that the mailshot is done through the membership system which means it goes out to all those who are members at the time. Not sure how that can be changed but I'm sure something can be done.
The other point is that they really do need to go on the ISA website after a period of time.
