Looks a real handful to me. Lovely little pass to Cullen for the second goal and almost scored a cracker himself. I was under the illusion that he was a winger but he seemed like a powerful central midfielder to me.

We’ve signed a good one; an athlete too.

Loum Tchaouna! I think that I’ve got the spelling right now.

Definitely looks to have a bit of power and aggression about him, albeit in a short cameo.

I thought his 20/25 mins on the pitch was hugely promising. He was winning headers from goal kicks against their centre back, his touch looked good, and he's definitely got that Premier League build and athleticism about him. The technique for his shot at goal was pretty good too.
In terms of his position, I think that he looks good for the right of a front three when we play 5 at the back.

He's an absolute beast. Think we've got a very promising player here.

Looks a talent and I think the club are trying to figure out his position. I know he came to the club with a bit of a “he can play anywhere across the front line”, but I think Parker sees him as a Hannibal type player.

He’s certainly a big powerful athletic lad

I keep forgetting we signed him tbh, but for the fee we are reported to of paid you’d expect him to play a big role in the squad. Sounds like an exciting prospect

He reminded me of Semenyo at Bournemouth. Big, strong, quick, good touch. If today is anything to go by, he'll be starting for us sooner rather than later!

I said exactly the same walking out.
Really promising today.

With him, Les, Walker and foster looking good, we look to have the physicality for this league that we’ve never really had for a while.

It will definitely help. We were as naive about that as we were our playing ‘philosophy’ last time.

Also thought he looked exciting.
Re. physicality this time around, definitely agree, Broja and Tuanzebe will add to that too, Humphreys as well. Sonne has done okay so far, but if I’m being honest if we can add a PL level player (with physicality) then we’d be looking good. Same in midfield. Only a Lesley/Cullen injury from having a sub par PL midfield, imo.

Do you know what, that’s a great shout. That’s exactly who he reminds me of

Well done now all you have to do is learn how to pronounce it (well me and lots of others I sure) could just end up saying ''Big Lou'

Nearly scored, outside of the post with a really good snapshot.

I think it's the same player who I looked at on Youtube when we were linked with him. Appears to be able to get the ball away to a team player and get it moving very quickly.
He seems to be listed only as a right winger / forward, but I don't see why he couldn't do a brilliant job central, in more of a Brownhill role.

I think Scott is going to have to find him a starting position soon-looked great in both substitution appearances he has made

Indicative of a shift towards signing more physically robust players this summer, which is welcome.
I thought he looked promising- good touch, quick, able to handle himself buy above all positive. The second goal owed a lot to his willingness to be direct and move the ball yesterday, and that similar willingness to be direct and decisive was evident in the late snapshot that clipped the post.
Still young and he's got plenty of maturing to do, but on the evidence to date he's got the tools and it's certainly easy to see how he fits in on the right of our flexible formation.

Watched him in the summer at the U21 when we were rumoured to be signing. He's strong, pacey and will go on to big things for sure!

That shot he had at end was great technique. There is one great camera angle they got of the shot and you can see that he has caught the ball so sweetly.
When we were seeing some footage of pre season training he was scoring some crackers with the same technique and he looks like he can hit a ball really well and also take it early like he did yesterday which is a big asset in itself in this league as the good defenders close you down so quickly.
Haven’t seen enough of the rest of his game yet but he looks an exciting prospect. Does make the JBL signing slightly baffling with the other attacking players we already had but maybe £4m was too good of a deal to let go for a player who we knew and who knew the club and could settle in so quickly

First thing I thought when he came on for his cameo - “bloody hell, we’ve got a winger that is challenging and winning headers against centre backs!”

JBL isn't one to get you off your seat, but he's a safe pair of hands. He had a poor game yesterday but I wouldn't write him off. If he matches his goal tally from his last PL season £4m will be very good value.

A less injury prone Cornet that can play as a 10 or out wide more like (hopefully).

Looked really handy. What a promising cameo. Won a header, played some neat forward passes and moved the ball quickly, integral to our second goal. Then absolutely whipped a snap shot against the post in injury time. Looks like he will have a big part to play this season.

His shot hitting the post meant my 3 0 predicion did not materialise. I will hold against him, until he scores!

Only noticed it was the post on the slow replay as thought it had missed it and just gone wide. Cracking effort without any warning.
