That game in the early 90s was one of my first. Eli became an instant favourite. I hadn't realised McMinn played against us that day! Another one who'd be a fav of mine, legs completely gone but still a class above.

I've just realised that could be interpreted as a cruel joke! Not what I meant..

Steve Davis was quoted after that 2-2 draw against Derby and said of McMinn: "He’s a tricky player but I thought Ian Measham played him well. Ian got some good tackles in but I think he’s a cheat, McMinn. He cons referees.”

Was my first ever game. Funny that Ted McMinn and his long hair was one of only things that ended up sticking in my mind.

It is - no extra time
