Hotel Bins

Has anyone ever managed to place an item in a hotel room bin without the bin liner popping away from its edges? Why do they insert it like a balloon? And tuck your sheets in like a straight jacket? Surely nobody asks for this?

You think hotels are a problem? My wife's been tucking in the sheet on our bed like that for >40 years, ignoring the fact that I always drag them out on my side before getting in... why?

Also at home why when I want to sit down in the armchair for a few minutes or simply lie down on the bed for a brief rest I can’t because each are piled high with pillows and enormous cushions. It really is an issue.

This is truly one of life's greatest problems and needs discussing at length to try and find a resolution to it.

Whilst we're on the topic. Why do you only get half a duvet in most European hotels?

Has anyone actually ever used the Corby trouser press in a hotel room? How did you get on?

I've stayed in hotels where you're given an iron AND a trouser press - that's surely overkill on the ironing front isn't it?

Hard to believe that people use kettles in hotel rooms to clean their socks and underwear…

Dismantling a Corby Trouser Press in a hotel room was an obligation.

Just ask Alan Partridge.

Tried it 25 years ago and it set fire to my underpants in the Keirby Hotel.

Why are hotel bins also so ridiculously small? One beer bottle and they're full.
