Good move for him. Still can’t get my head around him signing in the first place. Pursuing him hard and then not wanting him.

Wasn't he only signed as cover?

And we fans via CT and this board have no idea when he is OOC. Given he signed in January 2023 he may have only one year left before we miss out on any transfer fee.

A signing that never made much sense right from the start.

Swansea turning down 10 million for him must go down as a massive fail on their part

It made sense only in that Vincent Kompany pursued him strongly but then never gave him a chance. All very strange.

Hope he does well. Never really looked the part when I watched him

Pretty much a disaster of a signing. And there have been a few, including ones leaving today.

Wasn't he also a good mate of Nathan Tella?
Not that this makes it a viable transfer.

From what bits we saw of him in cup games he wasn't very good at all
Further loans have proved that to be the case as, unfortunately, nobody wanted to sign him after loans

I have just re-read the official Michael Obafemi to Burnley announcement. It was initially a loan with the option to make it permanent (not mention of obligation). So what the hell happened there?

The club have done well to shift him.

Most definitely one of the oddest BFC signings.

Bochum is about 50 miles from Leverkusen.

It was an obligation - I'm sure we'd have pulled out otherwise that summer.
