Difficult time for him at Burnley. Good luck to the lad.

Any mention anywhere of what we got for him?

Didn't we pay 3m for Darko?

The acquisition of him three years ago when VK joined is just an indication of our scatter gun approach (Churlinov/Obefemi/Decroix/Vitinho/ Bastian/Ramsey/Amdouini/Muric/O Shea) -just to mention a few. Ok there were a few good ones ie Foster,Odobert, Koleosho, Benson, Zarourry. This seasons acquisitions seem to have been much better researched

Vitinhio was excellent for us.
Id love to know the total spend VK did for us vs what it brought in

I suspect the spend was close to this years, and four or five made us a very good return, notably Odobert. However a number have become unsellable and we have resorted to regular loans of several players. I am confident a number of this seasons acquisitions could make very good returns too. More importantly from what I have seen this year we can give a very good account of ourselves, and better than in 2023/24 when we finished with 24 points, nearly 80 goals conceded and just 5 wins (only two of which were at home). The majority of games I saw Vitinho play in the PL he just did not look comfortable at full back, and no one was more surprised than me when we sold him for around £10m, but then we hear the club he went to are unable to pay us.

I remember sat watching him at one under-21 game and thinking he wasn't good enough for that team. Not sure what it was that persuaded us to sign him.
