Not the formation, Liverpool’s spend in one window

Just for a bit of perspective,

They raised around £220m in player sales

Definitely not a team I like and hope they don't finish higher than second in the league

Their combined net spend now over the last 5 seasons is £420m so yes this is a big window for them however they have been playing it safe for a good few years prior to this & built up plenty of headroom.

Averages less than 90m a season over the last 5 years and our net spend this season is £80m and 2 years ago was £90m.

With their dependence on Van Dijk and Salah over the years and them now way into their twilight years, it was inevitable they'd need to spend.
