I always thought Cornet was going to have a much more successful time at West Ham. Shame about them injuries.

His season with us is probably the best of his career

I dunno man, that year he scored against City in the Champions League quarters and played in the Champions League semi-finals plus the French Cup semi-final in 2019/20 was probably better than him getting relegated with us.

Was it 18 million West Ham paid for Cornet? Not their best bit of business.

And those spectacular goals made it look a lot better than it was

That freekick when we played Leeds. We lost, but still an absolute belter.

He did well at Wesy ham before injury and did well at Genoa, to the extent that they've resigned him.
One of the most underrated players we've ever had

He’s only started three PL games for West Ham in three years so I’m not sure there is any evidence of him playing well for them.

They were also in Europe when he signed. He was making an impact when coming off the bench and he was doing well in Europe, I watched a few of the games at the time.
He's one of those who impacts games even when he wasn't playing well. Great end product and brilliant movement.

I don’t think you will find many West Ham fans who’d agree with you.

Balanced by that miss at Norwich that may have gained us a point and possible safety!

Here you go. It took me 2 minutes from a quick Google search:
"I think he was a very astute signing who had been a versatile player off the back of a good season in a poor Burnley side.
He started well with us with some very valuable contributions, especially in Europe and then some bugger raked their studs down his achilles. Hardly his fault.
I feel sorry for the poor sod more than anything and think he seems to have tried his best to get back but it must've been tough for someone who had relied on explosive pace."

Well done - now go and talk to West Ham fans

There was that penalty miss against West ham too.
Am I right in saying he was the last player to miss a penalty for us?

None of those match the winner in the 3-2 against Everton
