A ludicrous situation. Very poor for international cricket - 5 over match. More suited to under 12s.

Buttler gone and 26 needed off the last over.

Thought we were in the driving seat before the rain but 69 from 5 overs was a huge ask.

That's a joke. People voting with their feet and hitting the ECB in the pocket might give them something to think about.

The ECB will have been delighted that the farce that took place last night prevented having to give refunds

They’ll have to give 50% I believe.

(a) zero to 10 overs are played of the only or last match of the day and no result is obtained - a full refund;

(b) 10.1 overs to 20 overs are played of the only or last match of the day and no result is obtained - a 50% refund.

There was a result though so I presume that policy becomes void

The phase commonly used last night was . "Minimum of 5 overs constitutes a game"

That's why they carried on with that farce.

This game has heightened the frustration that Salt and Buttler won’t be playing for Lancs tomorrow in the Blast finals .
