They shouldnt be allowed to be resold, unless its the club that are in on it? If I was the club I'd block those tickets at the turnstiles.

Lets be honest, it isnt going to be anybody with a scouse accent paying those prices though

I would have thought, with all this farting about with tickets this season, that it was nigh on impossible to do this. Looks like they've got it all wrong unless, as alluded to above, the club is the one flouting the regs

Whatever the answer, it should just not be happening, especially with today's technology.

Considering anyone can buy a membership to be the first in the queue un-vetted is it any surprise?

Think those represent three different areas of the ground. It's not really clear from the way it's been copy/pasted.

Buy 10 Memberships @ £125 and buy a match ticket with each at face value for any game.

Sell a single ticket for £1500 x 10.

Easy to see how it happens.

Has anyone made the club aware of this blatant ticket touting?

Seen a bit of fuss on BBC sport/social media about tickets for Newcastle's champions league game with Barca getting sold on. Despite them being like gold dust a school in Dundee somehow managed to get hold of 40.

Looks like a few season ticket holders/members have been busted for it and had their seats/memberships cancelled. The club probably didn't care until the fans kicked up a bit of a fuss about it. Newcastle i mean.

Is there any evidence this has happened?
If so, as a club they should cancel the scheme....but you'll need to provide evidence

It doesn't seem that outlandish. A tourist in the UK wanting to see a Premier League match, especially featuring Liverpool, will pay well over the odds. You can get a ticket for any game, El Classico, the Old Firm.. if you're willing to pay.

The club won't mind too much, they've sold the membership package and the seat and already got good money. Probably now working out how to get their share of the £1,000 in future.

I'll have a sneaky bet with you, nobody's paying over a grand to go to the Turf on Sunday....charity of your choice.

It's obviously possible to exploit as Newcastle are finding out:

Some people will die on a hill about stuff.

Top level footy is big business now. There's obviously people buying season tickets with the sole intention of selling the tickets on for a profit.

That's what happens when the price of everything goes up drastically and wages don't match! People will do what's needed to get a few extra bob in.

I truly don’t understand this.

the Americanization is here

Just out of interest, I looked at the prices to go and watch the Vegas Raiders in the NFL - I legit don't know how families can afford 1 game never mind a season ticket. The cheapest ticket I could find when they play Dallas was $495 + fees and that was at the back in the gods, you want a good seat it's over 2k

You can keep it. There's a reason the Non league attendances are rising in England..

Never said it did, just that it's possible for someone to manipulate the ticket market as shown by the advert the O P put up.

I too doubt anyone would pay £1500 but there is plenty money to be made for anyone wanting to exploit the ticket market.

No doubt at all that away fans get in amongst the home support and some are savvy enough to register as a Burnley fan with a Clarets number for their one game a Season.

It would be cheaper half way through the season when they are both looking at a season with no chance of play off contention. The prices for a lot of games appear to drop massively nearer to kick off when they've not sold out.

The original ad is (at least now) not on stubhub.

My guess is that the tickets aren't genuine. Or they were but will now have been cancelled by the club.

There are currently 52 tickets on stub hub ranging mainly from 200-800 euros so I doubt anyone is going to pay 1500. Tickets in the away end for €500 even.
