Not going but went last Saturday at Okd Trafford and it was a brilliant afternoon. Very frustrating to be deprived of Salt and Buttler today thanks to cricket’s ridiculous scheduling/.

Salt, Buttler and Wood too - supposed to be a flagship day and then they rob the teams of their best players.

Good to hear Bumble on commentary.

Somerset 182 for 3 off their 20. Very poor final over, with 21 coming from it

Livingstone given out lbw but got an inside edge. Reviewed it immediately but still given out.

Dubious decision there. The ball wasn't fully past the bat when the spike for the sound went up.

The ECB has deliberately wrecked County cricket and Test cricket will follow if we are not careful

They’ve just shown it again with the two spikes, first one the bat and then the leg. Sue Redfearn is the tv umpire. No idea how on earth she has given him out.

Have to agree, that really was a poor decision and has probably cost us the game. Turns everything into a farce, althouth the onfield umpire had given it out.

I've no dog in this fight but as a former Umpire at Minor Counties level I know that she is considered to be a pretty poor umpire. I haven't seen the incident but reading who the TV official is I can't say I'm surprised.

I have to agree with the number oftimes that I have seen her this year. In the last few days she was on a match as third umpire, I am not sure which, however, she came to a similar decision on a review in that game and that also showed a touch on the bat but she said that it missed the bat!

She is awful. She ruled out a clear catch in the Lancs quarter final. She claimed it had grounded which no one else at all thought.

We substituted Balderstone with Hartley who was then out first ball.

Having just seen that catch, I remembered that it was in the semi final of this competition and she disallowed a similar catch that we had taken off one of the Kent players. Perhaps she came in for criticism from the Lancs lads and she is getting her own back. It certainly makes you wonder.

Lancs well beaten in the end but who knows had Livingstone not been wrongly given out.

I’d just posted that above. Another horrendous decision from her.

What’s the point a finals days , when a team can’t play half its players.

It’s like teams having to play an FA Cup or league cup final without their international players.

ECB are ruining cricket for the sake of a Mickey Mouse competition where there is no traditional fan affinity to the teams involved.

I saw that after I had posted. I was in the middle of typing when someone came to my front door. I came back and finished what I was typing and posted it and I have just seen your earlier post. At least we agree ---she is terrible.

It’s so rare in cricket that they get things wrong. I can fully understand the umpire on the pitch not picking up the edge but it’s inexcusable for the third umpire to ignore the evidence.

What shocked me was when watching the review how quickly she decided there was clear distance between bat and ball
My eyes aren't great but it was definitely not clear evidence

Dreadful decision but another poor finals day performance to add to the book for Lancs.

You wonder how poor that finals day would have been had we had the full team.

Interestingly, while we were without our England players, others included members of the South African t20 team.

We lost the game in the last few overs of the Somerset innings, allowing them to get far more than they should have.

I really hope someone starts seeing some sense and allows counties to field their strongest teams on finals day and also they get rid of Sue Redfern.

Next season the Blast is being played in one block, with the group games reduced to 12, and the quarter finals & finals day itself following on immediately. Finals day is 18 July, before that Hundred rubbish starts, and doesn't clash with England games I believe, ensuring all teams can play their strongest elevens. As for getting rid of Ms Redfern, we can but hope...
