that'll be because the Scousers always somehow get tickets in the home ends. We criticize the club for letting it happen so I guess they are trying to combat it. You could just as easily ask them a question, the accents aren't similar !

Accept Liverpool fans don’t necessarily come from Stanley Park. As long ago as the nineties a private bus used to ferry their fans from Burnley… and Burnley was not widely considered as having a metropolitan support.

What about all the scousers who live in Burnley though?

I only have a passport for id, don't really want to carry that around..
Also my lad is coming from Manchester and using my mates ticket as he is on holiday..
It's a tad more complicated than it used to be.

I thought you were allowed to use someone else's season ticket as long as you are in the same age group?

Using someone else's ticket that is...

I presume they are looking for Liverpool fans?
Seeing passports don’t have addresses I’m not sure how that helps.
I carry my veterans card as if I lose it then it makes no difference as it can’t be used for anything!

And squeezing your kid through the gate with you.

They do have place of birth, though.
I know we have fans that weren’t born in Burnley (or indeed Lancashire) but I would imagine it’ll be fairly easy to prove you’re a Burnley fan.

It's not....nobody will ask for your id
Do you not drive? Or have a bus pass, library card etc...how do you manage at other places that require ID?

Isn’t this the guidance every game? Never been asked for id and don’t know anyone who has.

They could just do a finger count...7 fingers = scouser vs the normal 6.

That has been included for the last three years at least on the club website ahead of games

I'm locking this thread because it's misleading - it will have people thinking we have introduced something new. I've already explained that it is now in at least its fourth season .
