Yawn. In fact I actually worry avout people's mentality on here at time
No one to blame but ourselves.
Liverpool could have been playing until Monday and not scored in open play, we gifted it to them after a fantastic shift.
To say it's a conspiracy of sorts is laughable

Hopefully Hannibal learns from that. You could also call out Les for his tackle whilst on a yellow which then put us under more pressure than we would have been in the final 8 minutes. Had he stayed on, the last few minutes might not have been quite so desperate.
Hard as that is to take this team is clearly better able to compete. Unfortunately we've just binned two points from 2 successive games we expected nothing from - and we simply cannot do that in our position.

Shot ourselves in the foot again.
Daft second booking from Lesley and a ridiculous decision by Hannibal for the penalty.

Let's not do a sky here. No argument with the penalty , nailed on. The issue was the sending off. Oliver was desperate to do that. Sky make nothing of it (they won't and of course it won't matter anyway), but why did Slot feel the need to remove his full back on 35mins and apologises to him on the way off. The reason because as usual Oliver bottles the decision. We should have been playing against 10men from 35mins if that is the measure.
And bear in mind that's on the turf, good help us at Anfield we won't even get 70/30 balls there. Bl***y fuming

Gutted. But if we play with that level of defensive organisation we will be alright in the Prem.
Two stupid mistakes have cost us two points. We have to learn.

One against Utd possibly wasn’t a pen, but why give them a chance? You know they’ll give it for these clubs. Today’s definitely a penalty.
Both times just idiotic defending.

Heartbreaking because I thought we defended superbly and Liverpool didn't really give us much trouble despite their dominance.
In modern football, that is always a penalty. Would it be given for us? I don't know.
2 tough results. Same part of the pitch. Not too disheartened because, again, we gave a good account of ourselves.
I was surprised JC came off an not LU. Everything is easy in hindsight.

Loads of positives to take from that display.
We’ve just got to put a stop to the brain farts - Anthony and now Mejbri. That’s 180 plus minutes of superb effort and commitment with nothing to show for it, because we’ve shot ourselves in the foot.

Oliver was superb today
Liverpool took their left back off in first half because he was on yellow
Les should have been taken off after his tackle when he got a yellow - lots of referees would have given a straight red
The penalty at the end was madness but definitely a penalty
All the hard work up to the madness of one player deep in stoppage time has been undone

Proper gut wrencher that one, but we defended unbelievably well and I don't think many lower half teams will defend as well as that against Liverpool.
Hannibal must be devastated, and probably doesn't even know why he did what he did and he'll have to learn from it.
Hey ho, the team did really well and we can pick so many positives from that display.

Big Les wasn’t persistently fouling, yet at soon as he’s makes that 2nd challenge he sends him off

I’ve not seen any replays as yet, but if both challenges warranted a yellow card, whether he was or wasn’t persistent fouling has no bearing.

Oliver was dreadful.
Liverpool took their fullback off because he was on a yellow and Slot had just witnessed him getting away with one on the half way line against Anthony. They didn't take him off because he was on a yellow, it's the last thing a manager wants to do to a starting player , how many times do you see starting players taken off in the first half of games ,uninjured!
Re Les and his first tackle, he clearly wins the ball and momentum takes him through. I don't dispute that some refs may have shown a red (and they would have been wrong, it wasn't violent ) but that's a strawman anyway, so I'm not sure of your point.
Regarding the penalty , as I have said , completely agree , nailed on
On the plus side, as well as being so proud of every one of them , I thought Luis looked a real player when he came on. One of those who just always seems to be in the right place. Could be our Kante, dare I say it

Aye, really gutted, to say the least, yet many positives can be taken from that game. We played one of the top teams in the world and came ever so close to getting a point. This is why it hurts, but like I said, also many positives.

Football is never going to be a level playing field but what you want is some level of fairness in the game. I am not disputing the penalty decision just like the penalty decision against Utd but you already know us, as a small fish in a very large pond, are going to get big calls against us. I said to my son on the way to the game that something would happen. Oliver, allegedly, is our gold star official but he could not wait to make the big decisions against us. The 1st yellow against Lesley was, in my opinion, a strong challenge in which he won the ball but the yellow came out in a flash. Lesleys 2nd yellow Oliver was already scrambling for his red before getting the yellow out and the penalty decision I reckon is the fastest time in history an official has blown his whistle after a foul has been committed. I am not sour about losing the game because our players today were magnificent but they didn’t deserve that and that is the bitter taste in my mouth. We are an unwelcome addition to the top table and things happen too often for it to be unusual.

If Oliver was so dead against us he could have given Liverpool a pen instead of booking the guy for diving.

Feel for him because the tactics were spot on- he’d set us up so well to get something from the best in the league.
However I think he maybe needs to look at himself with the subs- I appreciate Cullen may have been knackered but it looked such a risk to leave Les on in a game like that, you just knew that the first infraction however soft he was likely to be off.
And as much as there is to like with Hannibal we know he’s got that moment of madness in him, maybe a game on a knife edge against the champions wasn’t the time to bring him on.

2 games in a row where we’ve gifted the opposition 3 points due to absolutely braindead decisions. We can’t keep doing that.
