The Public Office (Accountability) Bill will force public bodies to cooperate with investigations etc of face criminal charges

About time, even though its sad that it needs to be forced upon them

Absolute disgrace that in this day and age we need to have these people monitored by an independent agency in order for them to behave with integrity.

It's a much needed huge step forward. As you watch politician after politician lie and obfuscate continuously why would anyone even consider that their peers in the Police, the NHS and other state bodies are any different?

I have met some leaders with integrity but mostly they are venal self interested moral vacuums who you couldn't trust as far as you could throw them.

This needs to be extended to MPs as well, especially after watching some of them give evidence at the Covid and Post office/Fujitsu inquiries. Only ever interested in protecting their own arses

Disgrace, but not a surprise.
