Why did it go to pens on Tuesday if both clubs get a point for the draw?

It's competition rules, after a draw you take part in a penalty shoot-out for an extra point. Our club doesn't seem to know that and think Solihull Moors got three points and us none although it's 2 and 1.

There were people getting up from their seats in the stand at the final whistle just assuming it was a draw. To be honest I think it's a nonsense. If it's a league game and it's a draw why not just leave it at one point each?
