1st v 5th, both in pretty good form, going 2-1 Boro.

The long throw in back in fashion, to great effect.

Early in the season but is this showing Michael Carrick up as a poor manager (despite his xg😴)?

They have signed some decent players this season. Targett is on loan from Newcastle and Brittain from Rovers is a decent right wing back. The forward who scored tonight has a good record for his previous clubs.

I must admit apart from Ayling I didn’t recognise any of their team from last season. Now 2.0 nice finish.

I didn't realise Browne had gone there. He could be another good signing for them.

Boro have been a bang average championship side with the occasional playoff sighter the ambition long before Carrick turned up. Something is definitely going right for them so far this season that's for sure. You can't explain years of them not doing anything on Carrick as he wasn't about.

That drum is bewildering. Seems to kill any atmosphere, nobody sings along to it. Just really irritating for anyone there or watching.

the fact Ayling was MOTM shows you the gap between the Championship and the PL is just silly now, he played well but he wouldn't get close to any PL squad

I got panned for suggesting WBA would bomb again. Both sides looked poor and imo Boro are more likely for a top six finish but well below the standard us and DL established last season

I think both will make top 6 but it doesn't look as 'strong' as when we are in it. More competitive though perhaps with more teams around mediocre quality. Stoke and Bristol City in 2nd and 3rd I think says it all.
