He did via a silly back heel at one point, but otherwise it was an excellent performance I thought.

Dubravka 10* (Whoever chooses MOM on the Turf wants stringing up!)
Walker 9 (A class above everyone else out on the pitch!)!
Ekdal 9
Esteve 9
Hartman 9 (This guy is some player!)
Cullen 8
Laurent 8
Louis 8
Loum 7 (Cracking free kick!)
Anthony 7
Foster 8 (Played really well, BUT -1 for missing a brilliant chance right after half time!)

Subs. Hannibal 6
Flemming 5

A good, even game in dreadful conditions and if we're honest a draw was probably fair. It could have gone either way, but Dubravka was definitely the busier keeper and he was brilliant.tbh even though defensively we have to say we're currently outstanding! We were very even first half and then should have scored twice right after half time, but then the rest of the second half we were largely playing on the counter and I thought it would cost us, so just thankful it didn't. Parker is tactically extremely astute, but I did think he was slow with his changes today which allowed Forest to wrestle the initiative and I also thought Hannibal on was a "protect the point" move, when I'd have been getting Edwards on and trying to win it. I'll take it, but if we're going to stay up these games are ones we need to win and I know that sounds utterly absurd against a now well established and expensive PL outfit, but that's life in the top league I'm afraid.

Dubravka 8 - Always feel safe with him there. Some very good saves.
Walker 9 - Absolutely outstanding.
Ekdal 8 - he has been incredibly solid, gave Chris Wood absolutely nothing.
Esteve 9 - Immense, absolute immense.
Hartman 8 - Excellent first half, quieter second half. His choice of pass is excellent
Cullen 9 - I can't even count how many important blocks he made today.
Laurent 7 - Although he has done well, I think he unintentionally makes Walker's job twice as hard at times.
Florentino 8 - Does a hell of a lot of work and closes everything down in that midfield.
Tchaouna 7 - Great free kick, but thought he was a bit quiet today.
Anthony 7 - He broke up play absolutely brilliantly so many times, carried the ball well, then his final pass let him down.
Foster 8 - Doing so much work defensively and then getting back up the pitch, no wonder he is knackered. Looks the old Foster this season.

A decent point in a game that could have gone either way. Forest have spent massively this summer on an already strong squad that finished 7th. We do have to edge these at some point but very happy with the character we are showing. One criticism is the lack of explosive options on the bench, perhaps Broja when he gets up to speed, but it’s questionable why we let Koleosho out on loan. The way we have set up, with the space on offer at times on the counter, would have suited him, no doubt. Anthony tires, unsurprising given the work he gets through, and having another option to still provide a threat late on was missed today, I felt.

This team is the polar opposite to Kompany’s Premier League side. We know we arent the best but what we laxl in wiality we are making up with grit, deternination and backbone.

Dubravka 10 …don’t think he could have done anything better and a couple of fantastic saves on a day when he had a fair bit to do in difficult conditions.
Walker 9 …oozes class and you can see his organisational
Impact at times when he is talking to teammates. Superb.
Hartman 8…another very good game. His low cross into the “corridor of uncertainty”, after killing a long cross field from Walker , was a peach.
Esteve 9…. The usual excellence
Ekdal 8 …. Key part in another really good defensive effort
Laurent 7 ….did fine. Couple of decent forays forward out wide.
Florentino 8 ..got better and better as the game went on. Looks after the ball and plays with his head up. Looks another great signing.
Cullen 8 …. So many blocks. With more muscle alongside him he is thriving this time.
Anthony 8…. That’s 3 goals already and for me he’s really stepped up and looks like he belongs at PL level. Just sometimes frustrates with execution of the final ball but some lovely touches and the usual hard work.
Tchaouna 7 ….. what a goal that free kick would have been ! Decent but would have liked him to get the ball at his feet more.
Foster 8 …. Tremendous work rate and looked a threat at times. But maybe just not quite strong enough to win the fight with defenders at this level.

Hannibal 7 …..useful energy boost when Forest were on top.

Dubravka 9* - Superb

Walker 8 - so glad we’ve got him. His all round game was class, barring a couple of misplaced passes. Experience will be invaluable.

Laurent 8

Ekdal 8

Esteve 9 - Some player.

Hartman 8

Cullen 9 - I watched him closely second half. I don’t think he misplaced one pass. Does so much defensively too.

Florentino 8 - Really like him. Feels like the sort of strong/physical/athletic CM we’ve been crying out for.

Tchaouna 7

Anthony 7

Foster 7

Feels like we’ve got a real defensive foundation to build on. We are competitive and have been in every game this season. So, so much better than our approach under VK.

Dubravka 9 Mom just from KW
Walker 8 Consumate professional
Ekdal 7 Great defender but doesn`t look comfortable when on the ball and shows in some of his distribution
Esteve 8 Used his pace to good advantage and we needed it
Hartman 8 Defended well but his passing is lightweight
Cullen 8 Never lets us down
Laurent 7 played ok but I fear he will miss out when Les comes back
Florentino 8 first start in crap conditions early harsh booking but went on to look the part and we need him to start
Tchaouna 8 Busy, worked hard up front and what a FK but needs more of an end product and eventually began to tire
Anthony 8 Enigma, has some great moments and touches then passes like a fairy or loses the moment being too slow in possession or passes up easyish chances which at this level we can`t afford but his work rate is excellent
Foster 7 Not really the man to play the one up front role, don`t think he won one header and was caught on his heels a couple of times on crucial moments, he doesn`t give us an out ball, it comes straight back and yes he runs round and works hard trying to retrieve the ball but if his touch was better he would keep it in the first place.

Subs:
Hannibal na Like this lad but thought he was a liability today, think he`s still getting over Liverpool but the crowd supported him
Flemming na never really got that involved

Thought SP left his subs a bit late today, there were some tired legs out there which giving how hard they worked in crap conditions was no suprise

Anthony 7 some good runs though tired late
Foster 6 ran hard but didn’t seem to win a thing , has he ever outrun a centre half ?

We need to cut out the slow starts that are bedevilling us, and smarten up at set pieces in both attack and defence, but there was a lot to like about the rest of that performance.

Dubravka- 9 - thought he made a couple of outstanding saves, a couple of good ones and was generally assured in what were filthy conditions for handling.

Walker - 10 - by some considerable distance the best player from either team on the pitch.

Hartman- 7 - a couple of suspect moments defensively, and his final ball was a little disappointing on occasions, but he was a lively outlet down the left.

Laurent- 6 - I get the logic of rekindling the overlapping centre back concept that Sheffield United used effectively a few years ago, but it wasnt as effective as against Liverpool because Forest focused on exploiting his uncertainty as a centre half (not least to win the corner before the goal).

Ekdal - 8 - another very solid afternoon's work.

Esteve - 8 - another to have a good afternoon once we'd got into our stride.

Cullen - 7 - neat and tidy and got about the park to rat well. Looks like he belongs at this level now.

Luis - 8 - defensively excellent and managed his booking very efficiently, and showed a greater range of passing than we'd been led to expect. He's going to be a fan favourite.

Tchaouna- 6 - desperately unlucky with a world class free kick (can he take corners?) but other that I thought he was on the periphery of the game and never quite got the balance right between supporting Foster and supplementing midfield.

Anthony- 7 - got his goal and was heavily involved in our better stuff but equally at this level you've got to do better with the chance at the start of the second half, and with a couple of opportunities to slide Foster in that he fluffed.

Foster- 8 - another effort of effective hustling and line leading. I'd like to see again the incident in the second half when he appeared to be dragged down as he threatened to get beyond the last man driving in from the left side, because it looked to me like a foul and a potential red card.

Hannibal - 6 - hustled effectively and helped us close down an overload that Walker has been single handedly managing down our right, without showing much quality beyond winning the free kick at the end.

This was an afternoon that started badly. From the kick off we were far too passive and allowed Forest a minute of comfortable possession before a ball was clipped into the channel under no pressure misjudged by Laurent to allow a runner in behind and win a cheap corner, before we made a mess of clearing the corner and conceded a bad goal.

But after that, we showed exactly why this team is miles better equipped to make first of this league than Kompany’s team. We could easily have bottled it but we showed tonnes of character to gradually work our way into the game, and then mixed our game up to good effect to exploit Forest's vulnerabilities down their left in particular. Whilst Forest probably remained the more fluent team, and created a couple of good opportunities before half time, we ended the half strongly, hit the crossbar and with more killer instinct would give converted one of a couple of crosses that flashed across the 6 yard box.

After half time we started as well as we did badly in the first half, and we probably should have gone in front within the first 10 minutes. We didn't and whilst we weren't much of a threat after that, we did a decent job of hanging on to grind out the point. Overall we probably didn't do enough to warrant the win, and we need to find a way to get more men attacking the box when we get the chance, but it's a point well gained.

One gripe though - our set plays remain well below the required standard. We had a succession of first half corners where the delivery was excellent, but into areas where no Burnley player was even attempting to attack the ball. That's basic organisation, and for a team that needs to capitalise on every opportunity to put the opposition under pressure, it's not good enough. We need to make our own luck in those moments.

Outran the centre backs a few times today, and as I've said in my player ratings there's one occasion when he did so and appeared to be dragged down as he'd got beyond the defender and was attacking the box with a clear goalscoring opportunity awaiting. The ref did eventually give a free kick but way out by the touchline after Foster had again shown tenacity to go and win it again.

Always interesting to see the marks on here.

Anthony and Foster both had excellent work rates, but, individually and collectively, they messed up a number of good opportunities. We need to do better.

Walker was going mental with Anthony at one point in the second half, and rightly so.

Dubravka 9 my mom, what a signing
Walker 9 a joy to watch
Ekdal 8 played Wood man to man really well
Esteve 9 immense as usual
Hartman 8 slotting in perfectly
Tchouani 7 not much chance to get forward, but good when he did
Laurent 6 not effective enough
Cullen 8 incredible work rate plus bags of skill
Florentino 8 could become a star in our team
Anthony 7 his final ball lets him down too often. Improve on that and he will be a great player
Foster 8 runs himself into the ground playing the lone striker role. I still think he needs more support up front.
A hard earned point against a decent team. We have got a back five good enough for the PL, we need to up our game in midfield and around their box. Like last season I hope Scott will get this sorted.

Florentino is a player and stood out all game despite the absurd decision to book him early on. Very happy with Hartman and Dubravka, and, a blip at Old Trafford aside, I’m left wondering every game what Walker is doing with us - he’s top quality.

Gaffer: 2 points lost today. In hindsight we could of swapped a defensive player for a attacking player at half time.
