What a signing. He’s been there or thereabouts our best player every game this season. Absolutely immense today.

A class above anything on the pitch today.

One of the best players we've had in my lifetime.

Apart from a couple of sloppy passes I thought he was very good. You can see he’s really taken to the club and the new challenge he’s facing.

I thought he had a great game, but I don't think he was a class above everybody else, due to other players also having great games.

Thought he was absolutely brilliant today, yeah a couple pf sloppy passes, but the number of tackles he made to win the ball, his creativity with the switches, his tracking to cover and then his organising at the back - unbelievable player. If anyone thinks he is "done" at this level they need to watch those performances from him.

His game intelligence is on a different level.
Re: Kyle Walker

He literally invites (almost goads) the guy with the ball to take him on and then just takes it off him. I agree about the sloppy passes here and there on a couple of occasions today, but he genuinely oozes class and it was never more evident than today imo.

A million miles ahead of anyone on the pitch, his sloppy passes were likely where he expected players to be. I genuinely think he will adapt to the level

This has to be the best pair of full backs we’ve had at the club doesn’t it?

Did anyone else clock him telling Dubravka to go down for treatment so that Walker could change his boots without having to miss any of the game. Gamesmanship but experience that will help in the long run hopefully.

Similar issue to when we signed Defour, his game intelligence was way above anyone else's initially
The players we have now will need to raise their game, we don't want Walker to lower his

And the time he kicks the ball against the advertising boards which makes the ball go on the field, to get time to get into position. Cant teach that

I didn't see this, but the guy sitting next to me did and pointed it out when I was fretting about Dubravka being "injured". He said Walker told him to feign injury and get treatment. Very naughty, unless he happens to be playing for you!

Absolute masterclass from KW today , he was all over the pitch in the 1st half , his class and intelligence is supreme . At times he’s thinking ahead of his teammates .He’s also rather well versed in the dark arts ..

He definitely did this at least once in the first half when he was on the wrong side of the pitch. He ensured the ball ended up on the field to delay any quick throw in.

He was excellent today. Despite a couple of sloppy passes some of his diagonal balls were outstanding. He was one step ahead of other players for large spells and making runs and lay offs we didn’t make the most of.

If only Kompany had looked towards players like Walker and Dubravka, that was his biggest undoing.
Add to this, Parker has also solidified the midfield and so we have given ourselves a real chance of staying up.

Thought some of his passing was sloppy today. A couple of times we were close to being punished by them. But overall he’s been an excellent signing.

His run into central midfield and made a very sloppy pass, but overall had a good game. Certainly still Premier League class, but some posters giving others a disservice saying he's miles better. Steve for one was just as good.

He's every inch the Kyle Walker I hoped we were signing.

Absolutely baffling that Forest persisted in attacking down our right the way he was playing. Glad they did, though.

Watch him today. While the ball is in the air being switched to his man, he’s running back not looking at the ball or his man, but looking at and barking orders at the back line. Multiple times. Then, when he’s done that he turns around runs at his man and either wins the ball or they cross against an organised back line.
I’ve never seen that level of organisation in any Burnley player. He’s an absolute leader and class above anyone else on either team today.
How he didn’t win MotM I have no idea.

Fantastic player.
Also, I don't know whether Im seeing this but Ive been watching his interactions with the referees.
It's like the refs treat him differently, like they realise they are talking to a guy who has 90 England caps, there seems to be a lot more respect and tolerance of talking from him.
Im not saying its right but I just don't think its as easy to dismiss complaints from one of the best right backs in the world over the last decade as opposed to a young lad on his way up the pyramid

Absolutely this, weve had numerous retired refs say they didnt send so and so off because off who they were

Small sample size, but recruitment in general is currently looking as spot on this summer as I can ever remember.

Nope, that pass was spot on, but as others have observed, the problem was that Anthony hadn't read it in the way all those players he's played with at City would have.
