Sounded strange him referring to Dyche as 'Dychey'.
I could be wrong but got the feeling they weren't on great terms when Heaton left. It felt like there'd been some disagreements about his treatment with the whole Pope/Hart debacle.

Good listen that.
One of my favourite players ever for Burnley and the best keeper I have seen at the club.
And an absolutely great bloke too.

Sounds very articulate and loves the game still and looks like he will have a good career whatever he does next. If he’s serious about a sporting director role then would be great to see him back here at some time in the future.

I'll admit to never being a professional footballer, I know crazy to believe. And I haven't watched/listened to the pod. But a grown man saying "You better be ready lads, because we're having it" to another grown man is very funny. Just can't imagine that happening seriously.

The one player that has reduced my son to inconsolable tears when he left us - he was 9 at the time, idolised him and walked out with him a couple of times as mascot. Tom is probably the nicest footballer I have ever met - he had time for every single fan, young and old, he would always stop for a chat, photo, autograph etc. and as my son would often wait around the meet the players after a match, he started to recognise him and greeted him like he knew him, addressing him by his name.

Tom was, is and always will be a true Claret legend and probably my favourite ever Claret at that!

I take it you have never seen the tunnel incident with Keane and Vierra? Not the exact words, but the same sentiment none the less.

It’s what Dyche said to his players, not what was said in the tunnel.

Never aware of any problems between them although I can imagine Tom would probably not have wanted Nick Pope to come back in for the 2019/20 in his place. That prompted his move to Villa for first team football for us.

Superb signing for us.

I still struggle to believe we managed to get Tom Heaton, David Jones, and Scott Arfield on free transfers in 2013.

I have Heaton as my favourite ever Burnley goalkeeper.

And it was because of Tom that we got David Jones

It's such a shame he's been warming the bench the last 5 years, he's far too good a keeper to have played zero times during that period.

I agree and it seems very odd to me. Ok, he might be a Utd fan but your career as a player is short so surely you'd want to play as much as possible?
