We really are struggling this season, maybe some first team fringe players need drafting in to help restore confidence

Second half was better.
Only because Sunderland took their star man off.
That was a poor showing from us, poor tactics .

Can’t say I’ve watched the U21s a lot this year but the results seem like we’re struggling.

I’m quite surprised with the approach taken - our best players out on loan and other than Ellis Clark, no recruitment over summer. I expected we might try to add some players off the back of PL2 promotion. I don’t really see it as helpful to the younger players to be on the wrong side of results every week.
