Tickets not working today at city

Mine wouldn't work at turnstile, but had took my photo id so got it sorted with tickets printed at the office , plenty in front of me couldn't get printed tickets as they had no id, and was a long queue behind too. The guy was blaming Burnley. Something is not right somewhere !

Not sure how they could blame Burnley, bearing in mind they were downloaded from a man city portal.
Stewards we're also giving duff info on which wat to present the phone to the scanner

Steward came along our line to see our tickets on the phones, he suggested ours would be fine as they were android.
So not sure if it was an iPhone issue?

The tickets on my android didn't work and had to queue at the ticket office with numerous others. Whatever the reoccurring issues are (there were issues at Spurs, not sure about at Utd), it's not good and needs sorting!

I'm all for technology if it improves things for people, but struggling to see any advantages of digital tickets over old fashioned paper one's?

Digital tickets are an advantage as long as (a) they work, and (b ) there is still a choice for people who prefer paper.

Mine didn't work at Utd. Utd ticket office just said its a Burnley problem. Burnley ticket office can't even be arsed to reply to my query ( not asked for a refund or anything, just an explanation).
Today is first game I've missed......not worth relying on digital tickets anymore.... .sounds like I made the right decision.
I'm losing all love for my club.

Mine didnt work initially, flashed up a red screen saying something like ‘no ticket’. The steward then told me to present my phone to the reader sort of end on and it was fine.

Some people will want it to be burnleys fault, but in this instance its not, because you had to download them from a city site
It also stated you could only download them twice...what's the odds on some people ignoring that
As stated above, the stewards didn't help by giving several different instructions as to how to place your phone on the reader.

Mine didn't work, then the steward changed a simple setting on my phone to allow digital interaction & it worked perfectly. Nothing to do with the Burnley ticket office.

Could only the bitter moaning squad on here that could blame our own club for Man City ticketing issues. Funny.
Glad they are not representative our of wider fan base. We would be better off without them. Pathetic

Just sent an email to the club. Doubt I’d get a reply but Sainsbury not having Chorizo in stock when we arranged a tapas night for tea is appalling.

Why do airlines want to have boarding passes on your phone instead of printing them out, same with train and bus companies ?
Insurance companies want you to view policies online, some even charge for hard copies

Yes but if one ticket is sent out twice and two people have it then one is not going to get in.

Do we know that happened though, because if the first one got in, the second wouldn't have had a seat to go to, and probably been denied access
The main issues I've read about, and saw yesterday were people not scanning correctly, mostly down to stewards advice, but as described above, those who were struggling to get in, did once the phone was scanned correctly

Not quite. Had to queue with many others at the TO to have their staff fiddle with my phone to reset my download so that we could get in.

So,a handful of Fans had to go to the Man City ticket office,to sort out problems with there phone,to gain entry.Not bad out of 3,000 .I assume the same problems happen to every club who visit the Etihad.But no lets blame it on the Burnley ticket office,and Alan Pace,and the board.

If someone knows which seats they have ordered, as per confirmation email, and download the correct ticket, surely they wouldn't then download another one sent to them in error, would they?.
Any issues with tickets needs taking up by the supporters groups, but they need facts of where the faults lie, not third hand stories, get the evidence from those who have the issues.

Could you please tell us how and why you know our ticket office are to blame. Then maybe they can address the problem, so it doesn't happen to the same people again.

Fairly soon it will be used for clubs to control the resale market. No transfer between devices without it going through the club's marketplace.

Of course, that's not necessairly an advantage. Brighton already use it for that, making it all but impossible to transfer a ticket at the last minute. One man got a half-season ban because he bought a ticket for one son but a different son used it - on a match that wasn't even sold out!
