Broja on for Foster

Is like replacing Donald Duck for Daffy Duck
All 4 have no place leading the line in a Premier league attack.
Granted Foster seems a bit sharper this season but we are woeful in the attacking departments

Foster, Tchauona, Broja and JBL were all very poor.

Our CF and two wide men all replaced by subs when we needed goals and some of our best creative talent and most likely source of goals (Tresor, Edwards, Benson) aren't even in the frame for getting on.
5 at the back is stifling us big time. Esteve doesn't look nearly as sure of his role. We have a great midfield shield that can protect if we set up that way and get an extra body in the middle of the park.

Only a few games ago, he was a player people wanted to start games, if I recall.

Every time Foster does score, we get people on here saying it will kick start his season.
It never does.

Foster was rubbish - but if you can find a clip watch back the move where Hartman gets to the byeline and pulls it back for JBL - look at Broja’s movement (lol). He’s literally just walking outside the area when any ounce of desire would have led to a run into the box and probably a tap in. Disgraceful lack of effort and desire.
This was a problem position when last season ended and it doesn’t seem to have been addressed.

A club like us can't afford to be wasting 20 Million on a striker who doesn't contribute.
He needs to improve and fast.

To some degree. But I think Flemming was a capable centre forward at Championship level.

There’s players out there who are scorers well worth taking a gamble in like Shankland ay Hearts for example. Couple million and regardless of what level he’s played at he scores goals and just has that knack of being in the right place at the right time

Very early days for Broja, but I’ll be honest at the moment I’m not sure what we saw in him. While I can accept he’s lacking match time and is possibly out of form his lack of desire is very concerning. To me at the moment it seems like ‘got a contract, job done’.

Iv seen enough of Broja already to see I’m never going to warm to him. Little to no effort, looks uninterested, absolute joker. Go with Foster and Zian at least they run about.

To me Flemming for Fosterat half time was a certain change; JBL was just a head scratcher; what on earth was Parker thinking… I hoped it was some master stroke, it wasn’t.

The lack of game time for the likes of Flemming, Edwards and one or two others is a mystery.

Flemming was dismissed as a Championship striker, at best, by some on here recently - now he’s the answer? He did look good today, though, which I’m pleased about.
I don’t think Foster deserves the criticism he’s getting either. Not sure exactly what he’s supposed to do with the chances we’ve created for him of late.
Broja? Not sure on that one. He’s getting more and more time, something Scott doesn’t seem to give unless he sees something in the player.
Next two will be telling.

I am not among those criticising Foster, he was booked on 17’ that is what made him ineffective playing the role was asked of him; and why I would have taken him off for Flemming at half time. Flemming I would under normal circumstances rather see as a ten, working with Foster when we need to chase the game.

If you count the disallowed against United I think he's actually made a good start for a man being asked to do a a hard thankless task on his own up there for us.
People keep saying he isn't a premier league striker but so far he's proved them wrong. He just may not be a premier league goalscorer and there is a difference.

Why should we count a disallowed goal?
He hasn't proved anyone wrong, and apart from Emile Heskey, I can't think of any lack of goalscoring striker who gets cut as much slack as Foster.

You don't have to count his goal if you don't want to. I've seen enough with my eyes this last 7 games to know that for the running and outlets he has offered us it's not all about goals right now for him.
In the first 6 games I think you will struggle to find any particular week he has looked poor, rather I think his performances have actually shown just what he is good at. The frustration is that no matter what he does or seems to perform like, he's only one bad game away from coming under heavy criticism again.
After the first 6 games I think it was right people questioning how Broja would get into the side. We might find a better goalscorer but will they be able to offer the same job fosters doing right now, unlikely.

I fail to see what job you think he's doing that has got you salivating about a very average footballer.
We've taken ZERO points from our away games and he's scored once all season, so the qualities you see can't be that special.

Broja needs a start against more “appropriate” opposition like Leeds/Wolves etc to get his confidence and he’ll have no fitness excuses then . Fozzy is nowhere near let’s face it and have to say Edwards would be my preferred starter at RW. That’s pretty much our strongest side in paper with big Les replacing Laurent .

Cullen won a free kick late on, tried to take it quickly and was furious at Broja for not bothering to even try and make a run.

He got a start against Cardiff and looked miles off it.At the minute appropriate opposition looks like a conference team.

I'm not salivating but equally I'm not wetting my knickers off the back of one poor game out of 7 in this division.

This was laughably bad. I couldn't believe we let a man go off and just left that space completely open. I don't think you'd see that at Sunday league level.
It's probably fair to say if Flemming was there instead if Broja he would have dropped in. Broja looks like he's massively overthinking everything at the moment, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now that he isn't just lazy.
