Trafford v Bury FC

Post by Flixtonclaret1 » Tue Oct 07, 2025 10:16 pm

Had a very enjoyable evening watching my local team (Trafford) at the above game. Hard to think the days when we were getting beat by Bury and what’s happened to them is scandalous.

Have to say the away support was top - no segregation not a copper in sight- plenty of bars to have a beer watching the footy.

Everyone enjoying the game.

Attendance 1156
Trafford FC 0 Bury FC 1

Something quiet refreshing about non league footy!

I'm off to Padiham v Nelson on Saturday in the Macron Cup. 3 o'clock KO.

Does it still have an unbelievable pitch?

We weren’t allowed to warm up on it in the pre season game a few years ago and had to warm up on the park next to the ground.

That’s a brilliant crowd for non league.

Bury is artifical throughout. I was there recently.

Trafford do have an excellent pitch at shawe view. Mad how a tiny non league club can do so when bury, whose pitch used to be one of the best in the country, have had to go artificial.
