I was too 'heavily sedated' to remember the Orient one properly but I got on never the less. York was superb though.

I was hit with a missile which cut my head open in the Plymouth one, which is obviously my own fault.

I've run onto the pitch once ever, it was at Rotherham. We'd lost about 3-0, but I think results elsewhere confirmed we were surviving with a few games to spare. I found it a bit lacking, probably because I never thought we were going to go down and we'd just lost about 3-0. And I was in Rotherham.

Wrexham was the funniest.
The winger getting taken out by a fan might carry a points deduction nowadays.

Cardiff away about 91/92 just before the end of the game. 15000 taffs left when we went 2 nil up but minutes later bricks rained into the away end. The pitch was out of range. Was a hairy walk back to the car.

I didn't see it. It was heaving on the Longside touchline.

The width of the pitch certainly shortened.

Glen Little when scoring at Scunthorpe. Cool as a cucumber until he saw the Claret pitch invasion. Panic face and then legging it as fast as possible.

Not Burnley FC related but I participated in a pitch invasion following Lowerhouse Cricket Club's Worsley Cup win 2004. A 3,500 crowd saw the 'House win the first piece of silverware in their entire history. Loads took up the cheap drinks on offer and, as a result ,many supporters failed to even get on the pitch as they were foiled by the small ditch on the boundary edge. Others fared little better, running at an angle of more than 50 degrees before eating soil. Match winning hero, Chris Bleazard, was hoisted shoulder high by exuberant fans who then subsequently collapsed on the square. I also had the unfortunate vision of my dad running on the pitch in some cheap jogging bottoms which had fallen to his knees.

I was at Ninian Park, Cardiff, in 1991 when we were on the pitch after the match to avoid getting killed by the home support. .I got away from the ground unscathed only to get my head stoved in at a pub in Chepstow an hour later

I would have been about 7 when this happened. If I remember correctly they started off throwing pennies over the back wall. Me and my mate made about £3 a piece

We invaded the pitch at Rawtenstall when we won the League in 1999.

Try as you might but you can not spill beer when running.

There was no chance of hoisting Roger Harper shoulder high, he was just showered with beer, all quarter of a pint of it.

Oldham 74 was the most comprehensive takeover I have ever experienced. And they asked for it by attacking the few Clarets that had bought tickets for their end. What was it called? The Chaddy End?

Err, we attacked them and they legged it. A few fought back but we took their end with about 30 of us from the Waterloo. Only then did the fans cross the pitch.

Southend away that Friday night match when we won promotion back to the second division winning 4-1 and running across Roots Hall and into the main stand to celebrate with the players getting a good old shower of champagne my eyes stung for ages

I think it was a Tuesday night game prior to the Orient game, we were getting beat at Crewe and there was several attempts to invade the pitch some trying to get the game stopped but most Burnley fans and there was a lot were racked with fear and gut wrenching feelings of being relegated it was horrible.

I had a chat with Phil Devaney (spelling) and Peter Leebrook near the team coach after the game and that did nothing to ease the aching in my guts, even just typing this is giving me goose bumps they really were dark days

Sheffield Wednesday 1972.

Carnage in the open end resulting in a pitch invasion and escape into the Leppings Lane end.

The train got bricked on the way out of Sheffield too.

That was hairy! I remember one of our lads got chased to the next train station and we all waved at him as the train went past him. It was lively before the game and we had some interesting exchanges outside a farm of all places!

We were at the Oldham game in 74 but the 3 of us had tickets for the covered terrace that the Burnley fans ran towards before the game. Cardiff and Plymouth we ended up on the pitch after the game for our own 'safety'. Also ended up on the pitch v. Celtic but I can't think I ever felt safe until I got home. Also,recall the unrest amongst Clarets fans at Crewe in 87. A surreal atmosphere that night and one I never want to experience again.

PRESTON 73 was a great day, back in the 1st division where we belong. I don't know how the club avoided getting into trouble for the Wrexham game, it should have been stopped, but I don't think the ref had the bottle to stop it. York was a fantastic night I remember seeing my 12 year old son dissapearing over the fence and wandering how the hell was I going to find him again I had to hang around until the pitch was nearly clear 'til I found him. and the journey home was something else. with police lining the route.

After scoring the 2nd in a short space of time I ended up over the fence on the pitch. After a bit of celebrating I came face to face with a massive copper (compared to a skinny 15 yr old) who promptly told me to get back over the fence or get a clip round back of the head.

It was a bit harder to climb back over when the adrenaline had gone though haha.
