Porridge for me with a few blueberries( when I can buy them) and some nuts...helps with my blood sugar levels. Used to eat cereals like cornflakes and bran flakes but far too much sugar for me.

I used to eat porridge every workday morning. Not only healthy but so easy to make within your crowded morning routine (assuming you have a microwave oven). Half a cup of oats, half a cup of water, half a cup of milk all in a bowl, stir, stick in microwave for a few minutes while you make your mug of tea.
Give it a stir, put back for another minute or so to thicken up if still a bit runny (I like mine thick (as per my custard)), then add bit of seasonal fruit if desired- all done. You can eat it out of the bowl you cooked it in whilst catching up with the morning news on tv/radio.
Easy, cheap and healthy. It's around £1 for a kg bag of oats - so probably 5p for your morning half-cup, water is free, half cup of milk -a few pence. Even adding blueberries/chopped up banana etc - comes in at under 50p.

My vote is for the special K with the dark chocolate chips in. The problem is that it seems impossible to get in the UK. The shops own brand in Hello Jumbo and Albert Heijn are pretty much the same as Kellogs and at about 1/3rd of the price. Presumably, I'll have some trouble after Brexit in travelling to Hulst to pick up breakfast cereal............ Will I have to pay import duty on 12 x boxes of cereal as well as queuing for hours to get over there?

What did Dr Kellog have in mind when he invented All Bran?

Special K has been rubbish since they changed it from the little discs the size of your little finger nail. Now it’s just like bran flakes.
