Rob Dickie

Southampton and Burnley are among a number of Premier League clubs interested in Oxford United's English defender Rob Dickie, 23. (Football Insider)

Don't know much about him - Gibson replacement?

Plus: he's English.
Minus: Dickie???

He'd wind up with the nickname Bigus Dickus.

Hey by the way Boss, was browsing on here last night and saw a post from none other than Gordy (Goredaleman) unless someone is using his old username. Sure it's him because of his writing style - not changed. All we need now is JohnClaret (that would put some cats among some pigeons). I replied to him so I'll see what it brings. Have you seen anything by him on here bud?

I'm sure we can tie him down to a deal.

I love these vague reports though...Southampton and Burnley among 'a number' of PL clubs. It doesn't tell us much does it? How many is 'a number'? Who is included in that 'number'? United? Arsenal? Can't say that I await with bated breath just yet. If any of that 'number' is a big 6 club we can basically forget it, although the fact that he is an Englishman playing in League One probably means the big lads will have no interest I suppose, he's called Dickie not El Dikus.

Yes its Gordale... I replied to him also, but no reply on here.

So I went on the LT I asked if it was him on here and he said yes...

He thinks there are a few too many threads on here, he is about the only regular left now on there who posts a lot (JC in his latest incarnation after multiple bans as well replying to the Trolls in his usual inimitable manner) The OZ and NZ clarets still post occasionally....

We need to get him on here bud but I thought later that he was always a sensitive soul and that is not a great quality for these pages. He always had good arguments and always came accross as an intelligent chap. He stuck to his guns with regard to not replying to Keano et al though, good on him for that. Surprised anyone still visits that cesspit to be honest, even the paper itself was bloody biased (I think you called it the Blackburn Telegraph didn't you).

I saw that and had a look at him, there is quite an amount to be found if you have a look. 6ft 3" born 1996 described as the new Harry Maguire ( with better looks) has a great pass accuracy but and but again it's all been done in League 1.

It seems right to have a lad this like in reserve at centre half.

Tarkowski and Mee won't be budging for a while yet, so a highly-rated young 'un from a League 1 club ought to be both affordable and sensible because he'll know he won't be walking straight into a Premier League side, so should be willing to work hard, develop well and benefit from being in and around the team.

I don't think GD would enjoy it on here, he doesn't take criticism very well... of his views.

Hmmmmm thinking about it he would be in good company    .
