....and a possible 27 points available to win.
Currently on 39 points and that’s enough to see us in the PL for another season.
So now we are playing for pride and a top 10 finish.
4 matches at home, 5 away.
Manchester City (away)
Watford (home)
Crystal Palace (away)
Sheffield (home)
West Ham (away)
Liverpool (away)
Wolves (home)
Norwich (away)
Brighton (home)
So how many points do you see us picking up?

Remove Man City and Liverpool and you have:
Watford (home)
Crystal Palace (away)
Sheffield (home)
West Ham (away)
Wolves (home)
Norwich (away)
Brighton (home)
On paper, they are all winnable. No reason why we can't get 12-15 points from the remaining games.

Think we'll end up with 48/49 points.
So nine or ten from the remaining games.

I'll go for 7 more points because we're never at our best when we've not got much to play for (we're already safe), and I think they are a very tough set of fixtures.

Spurs probably think they have every chance of getting into Europe and they are only two points ahead.

Relegate Brighton on last day of the season?
That’d be worth the ticket price alone.

Providing we don’t take our foot off the gas I think we can get another 12-14 points. I don’t think it will be enough for European qualification.

We should be looking for a European place. After getting 7th place two years ago that felt as though it was the best we could do. But now we could do it again. Two big home matches against Sheffield and Wolves if we can win those we give ourselves a great chance. I'm hoping for 16 more points. That's realistic.

Agreed, and the fact we owe both of them teams for the away games at theirs...

I was underplaying it and calculated 13.
No reason we can’t get to fifty at least.

the more points they get the higher up the league they finish which means the more money they will get as their bonus - madness to ease off at any stage where a win can lift you a place

Prior to the last 7 games... the consensus was we woud struggle to get to 36 points after 38 games.
Hhmmmm we are now on 39 points after 29 games, and now there are some saying "oooooooohhh we are going to struggle to get another 4 or 5 points"
9 games left ... minimum 9 points ... If we continue our season average we should get 12 points plus.
Vis a vis we will have 51 points and a probable top 10 finish....

Best case 15. Worst 4. I'll plump for 9.
I tend to be a pessimist these days. Generally means I'm happy with our results.

I understand each League place finish is worth around £2m to the Club, in extra merit payments, which then feeds down to the players in increased bonus's ..... I'm sure the players don't need me to point this out ! Ashley Barnes could upgrade his " Minibus ", and Westy could buy a proper scarifier, for his beloved lawn ....

This is football, anything can happen.
We could win at Anfield and lose to BHA to keep them up.
I’ll go for 12.

Sheffield (home) 1 pts
West Ham (away) 1 pts
Liverpool (away) 0 pts
Wolves (home) 1 pts
Norwich (away) 3 pts
Brighton (home) 3 pts

Sheffield United (home) 1 pt
West Ham (away) 1 pt
Liverpool (away) 0 pts

10 points. Could be another 4 with wins against Sheffield Utd & Wolves.

Revisit your predictions for the last 9 games. We’ve still got 3 to go but were you correct or did you underestimate the mighty Clarets?

You see us ending on 59 points - that would be an extremely good total for a limited resource club like us.

No - I predicted 9 points from the 9 games before the restart - I thought we’d be on the beach. How wrong was I. It wouldn’t actually surprise me to see us pick up 9 points from the remaining 3 games now. That said Wolves will be extremely tough - I expect us to beat Norwich, Brighton will also be a tight one. So I’m going to go for 5 points from the remaining 3 games.

Hard task to keep above Spurs AND Arsenal and I doubt we will catch Sheffield United who are 4points up on us and Wolves may be 5 points ahead by the time we play them on Wednesday and then with us there is always 'after the Lord mayor's show" as we did last season at Newcastle. But it would be good to reverse a poor trend of results for our last 3 games in this league where I think we have only ever won one game which was our win against Spurs in 2010; I think of the 12 games over 4 seasons we have P12 W1 D2 L9

Think we could finish above arsenal, there next 2 games are spurs and Liverpool, followed by villa and Watford
Also spurs have arsenal Leicester Newcastle and palace, by no means an easy run in
