I'd except us to pick up more than 3 points from our remaining fixtures, we're not going down this season, indeed we've probably already got enough points on the board now to ensure survival, and i doubt we'll lose our last 9 games, even in these unusual circumstances.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 10:46 pmI'm sure we'll pick up a minimum of 3 points from our last 9 games. Not often 42 points don't assure survival.

Exactly. We'll be OK. No dramas.tiger76 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 11:06 pmI'd except us to pick up more than 3 points from our remaining fixtures, we're not going down this season, indeed we've probably already got enough points on the board now to ensure survival, and i doubt we'll lose our last 9 games, even in these unusual circumstances.

Our lads will be aiming for a finish around 7 or 8 place. I can't believe some of you are still talking relegation. Have a little faith!!

Re: Predictions for Man City v Burnley
I've not contemplated relegation since we beat Bournemouth back in February, we're far closer to the European spots than the bottom 3, and it's not impossible to imagine us finishing 8th, which if City's ban is upheld would be enough for a EL place again, why relegation is even being mentioned is baffling to me, and i'm pretty sure that won't be Sean or the player's mindset, even if we write off the City & Liverpool games, that still leaves us with 21 points up for grabs, and if we can hi the form we were in prior to the long break, we could easily rack up 4/5 wins and a couple of draws in those, which if 2 of those wins are against Sheff Utd and Wolves could well be enough to claim a EL spot.LoveCurryPies wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 9:42 amOur lads will be aiming for a finish around 7 or 8 place. To put our position into perspective we''re 12 points ahead of Bournemouth the 18th placed team currently, and we have a far superior GD to most of the teams below us, also look at the form of the bottom 7, they can't even string back-to-back wins together let alone winning 3'4 games on the bounce, and added to that many of the struggler's face each other, so they can't both win, i know this board's normally downbeat, but if anyone thinks we're still in the relegation picture i'll have some of what you're on.
If anyone outwith the bottom 6 is going to be drawn into the scrap, Southampton are the most likely, their form was dire before the stoppage, and they're probably one of the teams glad of a breather, like you LCP i'm looking up rather than down, which is why last night's results were decent from our POV, Arsenal pointless and injuries & suspensions to boot, and Sheff Utd robbed of 2 points by the system.

Our bench will be embarrassing. Think 5 of them will be the young lads.
5 - 0

Given CT's revelations I think getting beat 3-0 will be a good result for us.

Re: Predictions for Man City v Burnley
We coukd play well and lose 3 0, to a Citeh on form.
If the players feel as deflated as I do after SDs press conference it could well be 5 or 6.
It's sickening that whilst all these teams are welcoming back long term injuries, due to the enforced break, we appear to have gone backwards.
A good time to blood some youngsters, I'd like to see Brownhill get a lot of game time, but Citeh just wouldn't be fair.
If we can take a beating from City and come back with a result against Watford, we'll be fine.

I think they'll get two or three.
City 3 Burnley 5.

City 3 Burnley 5.

Burnley successfully field eleven, although Sean Dyche on the bench is viewed as too much of a protest!
