Re: Dogs
My heart goes out to all those who have lost their best pals, because thats what they are...I cannot imagine, cannot bare to think about that day when we will part company, when I will have to say goodbye to Rocky for ever...Rocky is more than my best friend - he's looking at me now with so much love in his eyes :
@BarryChuckle - I love your pics, the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned., Max looks like he was up for a laugh dressing up and what not.
@Steve1956 take care of Scally, savour every moment you have left with him.
@DCWat Heartbreaking yet maybe comforting having him/her in your arms for their last breath in this world.
@Herts - Another one who was up for a bit of fun...the top pic gives him a Shar-pei look then his head looks more ironed out like a staff on the other pics.
@BenWickes Although you lost Buddy 2 years ago I can imagine how the pain lingers, just got to keep thinking of all thos precious times spent with him
@Reddish I'm sorry you lost Bruce.....now I hope you enjoy many years with your Mastador
@Claretandy 16 years! What a great age, you will have a ton of great memories.
Thank you for all your doggie pics, you are the best

Re: Dogs
My wife always says when the time comes and they pass away. She doesn't want another one as the pain is too much. We've had to put down a dog and cat in the past two years. It is truly heartbreaking. However. I just know she/we couldn't bear Missy being alone while we are at work when Jacky passes away. She's also a sucker for dogs. A day after the she last said she doesn't want another dog. Two work colleagues were showing her pictures of a Chihuahua and a Dachshund. One is having a litter of puppies and the other was on trial to see if having a dog would work. Suddenly she wanted another. I've had to put my foot down on occasion as if I hadn't we'd have ended up with 6,7 or 8 dogs.
We never forget those lost and in many ways Missy, with her own character just brings back so many happy memories of Buddy which we laugh about all the time.

Re: Dogs
Losing my beautiful intelligent dog broke my heart. Having her in my life helped fight depression. While I was in the darkest of places, She’d force me to go for a walk or just give me a big unexpected lick. Sadly after a horse kick, I had to put her to sleep.
