Even a small bit of spark up front would shoot us up the table coupled with our brilliant defending.

Great defending not much else which is often the case.

A point...is a point!

That was a game we’d have got battered 5-0 before Ben Mee returned.
Ben is the glue that holds our defence together, yet he's often underrated by both the media, and our own fans.

Good point but we have to be much much better than that if we are to stay up

Burnley master class defensive performance. I sign of good things to come. Defence is the best form of attack. Get it right and the wins will come.

Villa are just as good as some of the good sides. They should be with the money they spent.

I bet Heaton secretly enjoyed watching it from the bench. He's seem these performances so many times before.

Who would you drop mate?
On today’s game Brownhill. On other games Westwood. Either way, competition for places improves the performances

Commentators waxing lyrical about 27 shots for Villa... but only 7 on target. We had 4 on target, which is a fair reflection for an away game

Yes anyone would think it’s was Leeds and the BBC the way they are going on.

Prior to the Arse match, who would have suggested that we would pick up 4 points from the next two games ?

Unattractive it may be, but for us it's all about grinding points out in the PL.

Job done tonight.

Away point when that bad is always a good point.

Leeds game will be similar unless the manager sorts it.
We will play the same team (barring injuries) and the same tactics

A lot of people complain about our front two offering very little and I agree, but we need a stronger midfield to give them any service

Until we see some strength in midfield why waste two players up front

Play five across the middle

Amazed that Pawson didn’t find a way to give them an assist but I think our effort, ability to put bodies on the line and endeavour was worth a point. Still find Grealish to be a petulant individual - talented but what a big girls blouse.

Completely agree.

Our issue is that we play 4-4-2 every game. They play 5 in midfield and we’re surprised when we get over run. Effective, I suppose, given the point, but let’s face it - we didn’t deserve it.

We need the players to play a different system. Arguably we have them though - I’d like to know how we’d have done with Benson in a midfield 3 and Wood dropped.

So would I especially away from home unfortunately dyche either doesn't like the system or thinks the players he has cannot play it, which I find puzzling after our performance against crystal palace away last season

No complaints about Dyche but he really does need to show some flexibility in his system/style in certain games. I think we’d be a few points, but certainly some better GD to the good if he did.

Will let him off for now, but if ALK give him the players, that’ll be a big test in his own development.
