I'm not sure how people can say it's service. He's missed more clear chances that anyone this year in the entire league..

And when you think how many of our total chances fall to him, that's pretty bad.

3 goals, 11 clear chances missed. It's not good enough at this level. The next is Bamford with 10 goals and 10 missed clear chances..and Bamford has played two less games.

Woody needs to find his shooting boots. There's going to be no one more disappointed than him.

I thought Wood had a good game. He gave Ayling a torrid time and when the service wasn't forthcoming, he came deeper and deeper to get involved and help link up play. I've been beating the drum for a long time, but you can't blame the strikers for the lack of creative quality in midfield, a problem that's needed addressing for the last 3 windows.

Spot on Ashton re service if we had two players a wide right and a creative cm to feed our strikers they would would get 20 goals a season
Look at Manure since they got a player capable of providing the killer pass
They have gone from zeros to heroes and kept OGS in a job

No not really he was absolutely shocking in the first half of the season. His turn around has been spectacular. I wonder if he was injured but due to numbers had to play.

I think he wasn't fully fit, but our style of play, pre Villa at home, didn't give him a lot to work on.
Since that Villa game, some of our football has been the best for years, not always getting the results we deserved. We've also got men forward, mostly due to Vyds, and put the ball in early, which is what he needs.

The funny thing is, you’ve had to wait 3 months to post that. 😂

Fully deserved all the criticism that came his way after a truly dire first half of the season.

Fully deserves all the credit that is coming his way after an outstanding display today and a much improved second half of the season.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to revive a Ross Wallace thread. He scored a beauty in his back garden this afternoon into one of those tiny nets and didn't even back out of a tackle against his daughter. I'm hoping to catch more than a few red faces.

I don’t think people who criticised Wood’s poor form should be embarrassed. He had his worst period of form in a Burnley shirt and didn’t look fully fit.

The people who do look silly were those who said that he wasn’t our best centre forward or biggest goal threat. Because that should never have been in question.

Why would anyone be red faced for pointing out that Chris Wood was playing **** when he was playing ****?

The red faces should be those who continued shouting for Barnes and Wood when it was blindingly obvious that we are a better side with Vydra playing.
