We had two fit strikers tonight
I thought Gray had left us a while ago

I don't get when we played so well at leeds second half, we play like this now. It baffles me.
The loss of Taylor with Benson coming on changed the game even so early
Dyche much more defensive minded after we scored whereas at Leeds we were chasing the game

In the end we achieved 3 points playing badly and with at least 2 players way off the pace.
Considering the position we were in at the start of the season I'm not going to go overboard with the complaining.

Two things:
1. It's always good to win when you don't play well
2. In the middle of the goal: Nick Pope !!

Is anyone watching on Amazon? Sean Dyche was strangely silent in the post match interview. They set him up with a microphone by the side of the pitch but the best part of minute went by before everyone realised that we couldn’t hear a thing.

Great win especially after Taylor went off early. Thought Pieters coped really well at left back especially as he wasn’t getting much help from Brady. Brownhill and Westwood put in a tremendous shift just 50 odd hours after their last game. I’m looking upwards now not over our shoulders.

I think frustration sets in frank...
At the end of December, and your team has two points only, that’s not because you’ve been a little bit unlucky. It’s because you aren’t very good at all, yet they are presssuring us like manure would. That’s frustrating to watch as has already been pointed out, one mistake and they are back in it and it’s two points dropped. We could play football and be in charge of this game. People get frustrated because we are way better than this.
No. No they didn't. We sat deeper as the game went on but really they didn't look like acoeing at all. There's a reason for that.
And we aren't the only side to shade a goal advantage over them.
Not pretty second half but let's have some sensible thinking here. We lost a crucial player 10 minutes in and it took around 10/15 after that to get back and adjust unsurprisingly.
Sometimes I wonder what our fans really expect when we are missing half the usual match day squad

More like McNeil, Rodriguez and Vydra, and then Taylor, that's 4 not 5.5

Oops, forgot JBG...close to half then.

Oh yes. That's over half a team, isn't it?

Yes. Yes they did. It may well have been us that allowed it by sitting deeper but they had the ball and when the opposition have the ball for long periods, they can hurt you. Better teams would. Fulham would for sure. You could argue that they didn’t score, you could even argue they wouldn’t ever have scored, but the ball being in and around our box is dangerous.
I agree it wasn’t pretty in the second half, but let’s have some sensible mathematics here, there isn’t half the first team out. Where on earth have you got that from? I make it three (cos I’m being generous and suggesting JBG starts every game and Brady on the bench).... then we lost Taylor.

Those days were far more entertaining than this PL malarkey.
Give me goals and promotion pushes over this fare anytime.
You may think so, but the point is you wouldn't be watching at all right now.

I think I said half the first team squad. Our bench was pretty thin there.
When you are missing key players who would start games its always more difficult. It means those playing week in week out with no reprise have to carry more burden.
Bottom line us that we defended well and they created **** all really. Wasbit pretty? No. Was it effective? Yes.
