U.S.A Men’s football team.
U.S.A Men’s football team.
Over the last couple of weeks I have read and seen on TV mention of American football (Soccer) Players. They do seem to have a few good players at present which got me thinking how long before they are capable of matching the old guard /ourselves (England)?

No problem, How about until they have a team capable of winning the World Cup... Edit. Make that until they win the World Cup?

Re: U.S.A Men’s football team.
The last 5 years has seen a shift in focus regarding the younger players. They will skip the old route now of college and mls and go straight to academies and teams in Europe. This wasn’t encouraged until Klinnsman took over the national team. He basically said you’re never going to be any good unless you play elsewhere. US Soccer hated him for that and not long after he was fired. The problem was always the standard of the other players. There might be 2 good players on a team but the other 9 drag you down to their level. Now that Weston McKennie, Pulisic and a couple of others are in top level teams their development is accelerating faster than the norm. As far as the national team you still have the problem of US coaching and tactics to deal with.
